Noel says he's disappointed as had the boxes been kind to Daimon he'd have been one of our biggest winners ever and the banker agrees...

The banker says that if Daimon gives back the £5,000, he has to find 2 eggs. If he finds the good egg, his winnings double to £10,000. If he doesn't find the good egg, his winnings become NOTHING

I'm not too keen on this but it's better than yesterday's gamble.

I HATE that logic. You HAVE £5,000. You CAN lose it.

This is a no deal for me. I have £5,000, EV is £6,666. There's no need to risk nothing here.

This has been, and is, simply wreckless gambling.

It's a more broader version of yesterday's...I'd take the gamble

Double or Nothing with a 2/3 chance!

Given that he's taken one zero-EV gamble and one barely-positive-EV gamble in the last half-hour, it'd be irrational for him not to. In the context of his previous 'irrationality' anyway.

I wouldn't be facing this decision because I have the sense I was born with, but if I were, I wouldn't take this one on. I think a 2/3 chance of £10k is worth £4k, maybe a bit more, but not £5k.

Egg 1 is a BAD egg :(

Egg 3 is a BAD egg :(

Daimon becomes the 2nd UK player ever to win absolutely NOTHING!!! :(

Noel confirms Daimon is only the 2nd ever player to win nothing.

Daimon says he came here to play the game and he found everything hugely entertaining.

If that doesn't teach the other players a lesson, they deserve to go home with nothing as well.

The most important game of the season.

Noel tells Daimon he leaves with nothing, and says that was a tough one when you think what Daimon's been through, but that it was an entertaining game... :(

And I'm actually pleased with that outcome. A nice lesson for people that should teach them the value of money.

And I wasn't aware that "here to play the game" means "no deal" x 6 + gamble with no regard to the money and odds.

Worst outcome ever - might not have taken that gamble TBH still it balanced out forced feel good endings which is perhaps a warped way of looking at it.

KP is going to love this: the whole "Wakeyism wins you nothing in this recession" or something like that! :-D

Horrible luck on the face of it, but when you have a gambling trait to defend, especially against the frivolity of the Banker's mind games, that was a simple run to an empty game

People may think I'm very harsh but I dislike greed for the sake of greed. Daimon was greedy with that £15k offer to turn it down having been offered 2 eggs. If he had stayed with eggs 1 and 3 as he did at the end he would still be going away with £15k instead of gambling £5k and getting nothing at all. Games like that anger me a little bit. 2nd person to win nothing now. Bet Daimon thought he'd wasted his time.

If it was ten times the stakes then fair enough. But lots of people would go for it regardless when the game is basically about £10k or less. To put in the kind of terms that KP might, plenty of people have a linear utility curve up to £10,000. The odds were never against him on any of the no-deals he made.
