I agree. Still, Dirk's the best character we've had in a while, and I hope he continues to post here. I swear, his are the best jokes I've read in years, and I'm sure there are many people here who would agree with me. The 1p doesn't matter, really. It's more about who the players are than what they win. No, I am not on drugs today .

They're over-reacting mate. They're very sadistic, this lot. Don't let them put you off though..................but to be honest, Kes was sort of there first if you know what I mean....

The penultimate show before the big 1000th show and Dirk ends up becoming the 20th member of the 1p club.

I wasn't expecting the 1p to be revealed at the end and thought it was going to be £1 instead. Having read the TV Times article last week where they talked about 19 members in the club and how Nick was at the recording for the 1000th episode. I just presumed that meant we wouldn't see any more 1p winners before the 1000th show.

Despite the win though Dirk remained upbeat and genuinely didn't seem too bothered at winning the 1p.

Let's hope we get a better result for the 1000th show, but I suspect that if who ever plays tomorrow was to end up with a result like today's game then there'd be a little phone call at the end offering something.

I've never known a 1p game to still be so uplifting. You had the perfect attitude and, had fate been kinder, I know you would have had it in you to grab the mega money.

I presume they showed the Dutch Deal or No Deal message today in honour of Dirk. And did you notice how the Dutch presenter has the same taste in shirts as Noel?
