And box 11 has the £250,000 again, Tom had box 11 last time it had the 250k.

I say that the weekend amount could be £35,000 or £50,000.

Good game for Tom, really thought he had lost to the banker and he had 250k

He deserved a good sum of money, and his show was really entertaining.

That was too close to disaster then...

Dealt at the wrong time but Tom beat the banker and goes home with 33k

99 grand my butt.

Well done Tom, what a game! Fair play to you for leaving the right box to the end - bit of peer pressure there!

I take back anything I thought about Tom before that game - man, you are a legend. He's like a male version of me. If I get on that show I'm going to say "Get in!" and "bruv" more than him, if it's the last thing I do.

Gotta love the Londoners :-D

Special shout out to Emma for not making any predictions - good girl :-D

What a brilliant show it was today! :-D Tom did excellently and was GREAT to watch- and he won a fantastic amount, beat the Banker and didn't knock his box off the table! :-D

I think that Noel's shirt today was the worst yet- a truly hideous abomination of a shirt. :? :-D

:D

I thought that too, do you think he's having to get more and more radical with his shirt selection to keep us loyal viewers guessing!!

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and all, but I would have gone on at £33,000. The chances of keeping both the top two in play may have been slim, but there was a fair chance of keeping one in. Being left with any of the blues and £100,000 would probably have led to an offer of about £30,000, possibly sticking at 33. Being left with a blue and the quarter million would probably generate an offer of about £80,000 (£99k is ludicrous).

Still, £33k is amazing and it's great that at last, for the first time in so long, a player's went away with such a huge sum of money!

Tom did my head in in every other show, but I actually warmed to him today! He seemed pretty cool and not as annoying. And I think he played it really well...£33,000 was a bit of a crappy offer but I'd still definitely have dealt it, and that last offer surely wouldn't have been £99,000. I thought he had £250,000, as nobody's had it since Bob...but no! Good old Stevie. (Who would have kept going... :? Is she just going to go to the end regardless in her game? Actually, given the boxes she's had, that might not be such a bad idea.)

And the big money surprise was...doubling the boxes. I was so disappointed. And it wasn't even me that won it.

£33,000 was a great amount to go with.

Imagine if he had no dealed and then picked out the £100k and £250,000...then the offer would have been really bad, especially after what happened to Tan and in previous games before maybe it was the best thing to do...you can never be certain.

I'd have certainly dealed at £33,000

Well done Tom! enjoy it.

Well done in winning £33K Tom. It seemed like Noel was trying to tempt you to go on to try to become the first £250,000 winner with some of his advice but you made the right deal mate! Congratulations!!

£99,000... is not what I predicted. :o

I thought £80,000 would be fine, £88,000 as an afterthought, but £99,000... no-one's risked that much on the show. The banker must think unpredictable offers are the best way to stop a player from going all the way.

Mind you, dealing at £33,000 with an average of £70,000 with 5 boxes left, is statistically slightly worse than dealing for £18,000 with an average of £36,700 with 14 boxes, so he could have continued if he wanted to, even with a 30% chance of losing it all.

I'm glad he went away with the money, though, and for £33,000 I just might have dealt there myself. :)

One more go at predictions tomorrow, and then I'm going to post how exactly I've been predicting the offers. It seems my system must take into account the banker's perception of how well the game is going before it can be accurate throughout.

Can I just point out here (seen as this is the ONLY time I've ever retained any DonD knowledge)

Morris 20k 250k - offer 101k
Gary 5k 250k - proveout offer 91k
Tom £5 250k - proveout offer 99k

Where's the consistency? Oh wait, nowhere.

As Tom would say - Banker, you are HAVING A LAUGH.

Is it me, or was Noel doing his best to get Tom to go on and risk it all just because he's desperate for someone to get the quarter of a million. Give it a rest Noel - not everyone's got several million to fall back on like you have!

Hey, ₤33,000 is a much better sum than one of the contestants won on the US version of DoND last night - a whole $50, the contents of her case. She went all the way. But hey, congrats to Tom. ₤33,000 is a decent sum of money, even if the next offer did seem to be a bit unbelievable.
-Mark.

Why does it have to be consistent? If that was a case, all you would need was a computer program to come up with the offers, not the banker. If the offers were going to be as predictable as that there would be no point in watching.

I think he said 2nd highest, which I'm pretty sure it is - highest was Aaron's £30k.

Maybe consistent was the wrong word - they don't need to be identical, they need to make some sense - ie. Gary's should have been higher than Tom's.
