The foolishness of some contestants is staggering. He turns down £35k for a box worth just over £55.5k, then accepts £21.5k for a box worth a similar amount.

The show isn't 'fair', Alice only got the banker's gamble because she was young, Welsh and the 1p was left.

The 8box situation was a lot more stable though - the offer had to come down.

I think it was more a case of him far too scared to offer the Gamble again - he said himself he didn't want to lose another £250,000!

Anyway, great game today - well done, Wayne!

What's the point of that hypothetical swap? Are we to assume he would have no dealt £90,000 and gambled, because if not then that swap is utterly pointless.

What a shame about the £100k and £75k going in one round - that made a great board suddenly very unstable, so at least he played the board out to a degree.

I am actually pleased he didn't get the banker's gamble - it'll at least mean nobody in that situation should come to expect it. Keep what happened yesterday a rarity.

And after yesterday I don't think I believe anyone who says they would have swapped on a £250k last pair if they've dealt earlier, Alice had her lucky number left and couldn't dare swap, and surely 99.9% of people would have dealt £90k anyway so it's irrelevant?

But still a good show nonethless, and I am quite relieved as I always think the person who usually plays the day after a huge win wins blue, but luckily that didn't happen, well done Wayne!!

Alex, I was only shocked at the £35,000 offer because although the board merited it, I wasn't expecting such an increase

Personally i think from yesterday he tried the gamble. So he get a good week for sure, after Dermot & George. Obviously tried his "old faithful" with mavis that didnt work. Suppose once he got to Alice he thought "i this week back in my favour" this again backfired. Now relised this could be a costly week!

I wondered if the Banker's Gamble would come out again, but they have to keep it as an occasional surprise rather than an expected part of the gameplay.

In terms of £250k-winner coincidences, when the £100k and £75k went I noticed that Swappy Craig's £10 was still on the board - thankfully he took it out in the next box! The luck wasn't really with him, in a way it was a "Wakeyist OPL" (he took the lowest offer if you ignore the opening three) but £21,500 is still decent money.

Hard luck Wayne, the £250k has often come to the table two days on the trot. Enjoy the money you won :D

I knew you weren't "The Milky Bar Kid" as they all came from up north. The ad agency liked to use children from up here as they were more natural :D

Those ads were made by a company called Collett, Dickinson, Pearce.
