:x I get really annoyed when people make predictions about their boxes. If Sarah hadn't left those 2 boxes till the end then she probably would have gone away with a lot more - and she definitely wouldn't have taken out the £250,000 and the £100,000 in the same round. NOBODY knows what is in their box until it's opened.

Awwww- Sarah did well- it's just a shame she didn't win more, and it's a shame the £20,000 was in her box! :( Oh well- £6,000 not too bad at all!

:)

I wonder if Peter was put off by the fact he had £250,000 yesterday. He was way off in his prediction as was Lofty as was Stevie.

I second that. You cant 'lift' the box and think "ooh this feels heavy, its a high number". No. I doubt the ink or whatever they use to print the numbers on the rectange weighs much, so its impossible to know 'exactly' whats in someones box or your own for that matter. You can have a lucky guess but thats it. Thats why Fin is still my least favorite contestant.

I dont mind positivity, it helps keep yourself together when selecting boxes, but Fin was being rediculous, trying to make his eyes point to the lowest amount box when he looks forward. Pathetic if you ask me.

Agreed. I was obviously biased in today's show, but I don't understand why anyone ever guesses what's in their box. You just end up looking stupid when you're wrong (which is the case most of the time), and it has the potential to ruin someone's game! I'd never ever guess what was in my box (unless maybe I didn't like the contestant...but even then it wouldn't make much difference).

You are right in what you say. I did it only once in Gary's game and got it totally wrong

However, when someone is playing and you want them to do really well, if you have a feeling - you just feel compelled to say so. I agree that Sarah would have probably gone away with more money but I think Peter was only trying to help - with the wrong result :(

Well done Sarah anyhow. You still came away with a decent sum of money and you had NOTHING TO FEAR. I cannot see what anyone would say against you. Your game was calm, serene and ladylike. Enjoy your winnings.

Lisa xx

I actually think the offer would have been lower if she'd opened box 11 as it had the middle value and the banker would probably enticed her into a trap and forced her to go on. Well done Sarah!

I remember Gary's game! Good job he didn't listen to you Lisa - if I remember correctly you had the last blue on the board! And of course people only say it to try and help...I just don't understand how anyone can get a "feeling" from an empty box. I guess I'm not a very spiritual person.

(Good to see you back by the way! You were another very cool contestant.)

Well done Sarah! She seemed well nice and has the lovliest speaking voice ever. awww that show made me smile!!

I liked the way she didn't look as if she was "buying" Noel's little fills he does to make the game more exciting, you know at the end when he was going "You threw away £20,000" etc etc. I like the way she was happy with what she got and that's all that matters.

She really really really does. I wonder if she makes audio versions of the books she writes...

Yeah me too but then the contestant has to be a bit silly to pay any attention to these predictions so it's not all the fault of the box-opener. :)

Has anyone noticed (apart from me) that both Sarahs were writers?

Agreed. I remember when Lisa said to Gary that she thought she had the highest value left on the board and he replied with something along the lines of: "It's just opening boxes, it doesn't matter", so she opened it. Turns out he was right too and it was a blue. More contestants should follow his lead.

I thought that too! And they were both fantastic contestants...probably my two favourites of all time. We need a new Sarah on the show. (I know there was a Sara once....but that was before I was watching it...and there's no "h", so she doesn't count.)

He then went for Sam with the highest number and then Sarah with the lowest remaining number!

Anyway, back to Sarah's game, great entertainment even if she didn't beat the banker.

Okay, I'm going to have another attempt at predicting the offers tomorrow, turns out I made an error by not removing the 10p before the third offer, which threw off my calculations until the fifth offer.

(That and there being almost no time to make a prediction and post before he makes the offer!)

The reason for me making predictions is because I have discovered a pattern with the banker's offers, and I'll make a post about it after tomorrow's show.

I believe it's possible to know what's in the boxes.

However, I also believe there will never be a contestant who can do it. It would involve being able to read from the Akashic Records at will, and people who could do that wouldn't be on some trivial afternoon gameshow!
