To be fair, Tan's game never really got going and you vouldn't have expected the Banker to offer much more. Its just a shame his opening offer was his highest. Really unlucky for Tan, he seemed such a genuinely nice guy.

The offer he got with 5 boxes remaining was pretty awful, £1,050 with the £35k and 4 blues left - even lower than the one Steve got in virtually the same situation a while back which his girlfriend in the audience described as "crap"!

A decent offer here may have given Tan a possible escape route.

Simon had virtually the same last 5 boxes as Tan apart from the fact he had £1000 instead of another blue. He got offered around £13,000 whilst Tan got offered around £2,000 - something is seriously not right with that!!! I hate injustice with a passion.

I think you're mistaken. At the last five boxes, Simon was offered £2,100. He went onto have an all blue round, and was then offered the £13,000 at his final two boxes.

Errr, keep your hair on. :-D Simon was only offered £2,100 when he was down to the last 5 boxes. He was then offered £13,000 after a perfect next round when he removed the 3 remaining blues and was therefore left with a choice of £1,000 or £35,000. He took the £13k rather than risk that choice.

Edit: Oops. Qwerty beat me to it.

But Simon didn't get offered £13,000 until the last two, where he was left with £1,000 and £35,000!

In the last five, Simon had £1, £50, £500, £1,000 and £35,000, and was offered £2,100. Tan had 1p, 50p, £5, £250 and £35,000, and the offer was £1,020.

Simon's £13,000 offer happened when he had just two boxes left. The offer-of-five in Simon's game was £2100. That was with the £1000 and £500 amounts still there as some kind of back-up. Tan's second highest amount was £250. Everything else there was less than a tenner.

So it all seems reasonably consistent to me. Not generous, but consistent.

Sorry guys, guess I wasn't paying attention.

I still think the banker is quite inconsistent in his offers throughout the game from player to player with similar boxes (excluding the Tan/Simon game).

Hahaha that's very true. There was one case Daniel was telling me about that has completely slipped my mind (before my DonD time though)

Ask him. He's got nothing else to do other than filter DonD facts from his brain.

:-D

On a side-note, this is Tan's thread so I feel I should say something Tan-related

Tan is beauty.

I'm done :-D

I have to admit the second bit is true...but I've absolutely no idea what you're talking about it in the first bit, sorry.

*sigh*

The other day we were talking about how rubbish the banker is, and you told me about some time when 2 people got offered 2 really different amounts for the same board. I *think* you might have been talking about Trevor but I've probably just made that up.

xxx

Ohhh! When Trevor had 4 blues and the £250,000 and he was offered £9,900, then a few days later Lisa had 4 blues and the £250,000 but she'd already dealt and he said he'd have offered £44,000? That's a bit different cos Lisa had already dealt, and they're always higher then anyway. But...yeah.

The banker usually inflates proveout offers, so I would ignore that instance.

i wouldn't say you should ignore it - I know the banker inflates proveout offers (thanks for the reminder though) but that is one big inflation.
