Harry asks his wife to join him at the pound table, and they have a little chat... Alex tells Harry that this is similar to Lauren's game, but he has a purpose and dream for the money and to think hard about that... Den reminds Harry that he has had the £100,000 twice this week...

Harry says

DEAL

I was only £3,000 out to my predicted offer. In fairness, it is the second lowest blue and he did remove £250,000 in that round and The Banker, depending on the player will punish those if they knock out the big one.

The Banker in the last few months have created a trend that has got players dealing and yet again done it today, regardless if people think the offers are crap and suspect those who say that who are actually on the show now might have to adjust their strategy, otherwise they will go all the way. Although today Harry did Beat the Banker.

Well I didn't expect Harry to have 10p, but there you have it

He beats the Banker but not outright because he could've had £25,000, so you could say it's a Moderate Win

The folks down in Bristol will take the win as harry Beating the Banker as he made a profit from the box he opened but it's not not a Banker Spanking as he didn't take the highest offer. As mentioned, they use four main result terms down there, Banker Victory and Draw being the other two.

Most interesting game there. Massive credit to Noel for emphasising the value of £25,000 at the eight-box decision point, and good decisions all round from Harry which deservedly produced a good win.

:D Great result for Harry especially after the 250K went early on in the round creating a 50/50 chance
of total disaster!
Although It's nice for the viewers to see the game personalised
in terms of how the money can help you fulfil a specific dream,
I think this was another show where laying your cards on the table like that
plays into the banker's hands and consequently reduces the offers.

With 100K and 250K still on the table at 5 box you would expect to see "old faithful" 26K
offered at the very least under normal circumstances! :?

Well it was between this on C4+1 and a repeat of Pammy's game from October on More4, this was definitely the better option!

The opening rounds went as well as could be hoped for Harry, with all the lowest blues going except the one he couldn't take out. The 8-box offer was by far the big decision of the game, the odds of missing the big 3 would be slowly dropping out of your favour by that point although the equal argument for going on speaks for itself. The 5-box offer was a bit heavy handed I thought, I'd have expected a stick or slight drop there, if Harry had taken a blue in that round I imagine he'd have got that.

Last offer was a tough call in many ways, but I don't blame him for taking it. Hope he enjoys the money and his trip. Is that the third (regular) game in a row that 10p has come to the table?

Another example of true life-changing money never being available so long as at least one blue remains in the game (indeed it'll take an all-red last 5 with every red being over 10k or an all-power 5 last pair to get MASSIVE money I feel), which I guess is slightly unfortunate, but I was pleased with how Harry played that, except that the banker knew he was highly unlikely to risk it on an all-or-peanuts last pair, which probably cost him to a degree, but it's wasn't as if it was unexpected.

At least he didn't just run at the first sign of around 20k, he did play the board out to a degree, and thank goodness he turrnd left instead of right at the end! Still, at least the momentum is still with the players, it certainly wouldn't have been if he'd won 10p!!

Oh, and great advise from Alex again - I have a feeling his game is going to be REALLY controversial though!

Enjoy the trip Harry! :D

(If his Tax-Free namesake had been playing that he would have gone at the third offer and been a TBW with about 60k offered at 5-box!!!) :)

Well, Harry was great fun at the recordings in October, and glad to see he got a chunky sum of money in this game, even if at one point it looked like he was going to be in for the really mega money. Even with £100k and £250k remaining at 5-box, the offer was only £20,000, where we have seen 3 times that with not too dissimilar boards (Jeff's perhaps?). To be honest, I was (optimistically) expecting something around £35k even by today's standards. Still, at least he didn't crash to 2 blues, bearing in mind he only had 10p.

That's the 3rd recorded show in a row to have 10p on the table now, quite a rare occurrence for DOND - I think only the £20k has emulated that. What we really need, though, is for the £250k to be there 3 games in a row...

An enjoyable show. I was really worried that Harry was going to find both the top two in the last round, but thankfully he didn't.

I was hoping for a larger 2-box offer, but wasn't that surprised it was £18,000. I thought perhaps a stick at £20,000 would have been the offer.

Totally understandable why Harry dealt the offer though. That will get Harry his trip to Australia and just imagine if he had no dealt and won the 10p instead.

Great game,. Harry played the board well, he was a touch unlucky hitting the £250k when he did but given he had 10p in his box it could have been a lot worse.

Yes, i would have liked that final offer to have been higher but from the Banker's POV i can see why it wasn't. He was clearly relying on Harry's reluctance to go away with just 10p. And to be honest i wouldn't have wanted to gamble that final pairing either.

Another great game. Harry was great, a real gentleman.

It was obviously clear from the off that he wanted the trip to Australia, so a deal at £18,000 isn't that shocking/unexpected.

I am really looking forward to Alex's game after all the banter between him and the banker in recent shows. It's certainly lining up to be an amazing one...

Great game, this was!

I took one look at Harry when he first appeared on the show (he replaced Chris of all people! :-D ) and I could tell he was a dark horse. That £25,000 offer was a no-brainer with such a powerful board, so the only real decision was that £20,000 offer. So forget the £2,000 which was dropped from the final offer, he really surprised me by going on. And it was such a deserved win at the end too; the last thing I'd have wanted for bravery like that was for him to deal and have the £100,000 revealed in his box! Even more so than gambling and winning 10p actually, to be honest!
