You could say that the maxim "every show is different" really applied tonight! £8,800 was a good initial offer, and I would still like to see someone accept the first offer and beat the banker, it would be a first and it could have happened tonight!

Two other players could have maximised their winnings by taking the first offer - Kai and Mike, if you care.

Sorry, by the end of the game, I didn't like her very much at all. Thoughtshe was rude, telling Noel to stop talking as she wanted to get on with her game. Sitting on the floor just made her look a bit of a pratt.

All in all a bit of a show off. Got a good amount, but played it for all she was worth.

Photo of her and Noel in the downstairs loo, indeed.!!!!!!!!

Aw, I liked her. It was a bit weird when she interrupted Noel and Stevie, but to be fair, she'd just lost the £75,000 (I think) and was probably worried and wanted to get on with it. I'd probably feel the same. (although as a viewer I love Stevie!) I don't think you can judge someone's character much from seeing half an hour of them in a very high-pressure situation where they stand to lose or gain thousands of pounds.

Yes I agree Max should have taken the opening offer. I hear nobody has done this yet but what is the earliest offer anyone has accepted? If the first offer was accepted, would the show finish early or perhaps they could show repeats!

Five people - Jenni, Andrew, Beryl, Flash, and Johnnie - have taken the third offer. That's the earliest anyone's taken so far. I don't think they'd cut it if someone took the first offer, though - it would be interesting for novelty value the first time round.

i really did not like max.
she came across as very cocky, very rude and overall a bit of a weirdo.

As much as I don't want to say it, I did not enjoy watching that game at all....
Oh well, one programme of about 170 aint so bad.
She really turned me off when she interrupted Noel, he's the host, and she does not own the programme !

Phew, I'll shut up now.

I hate to say it but I really don't think Maxine came accross very well during her show. She just had this negative aura - first it was anxiety and then it turned to anger as the game progressed. She just seemed very hard to warm to though I liked her in the wings :?

Yes, I agree. It makes the programme fa less interesting when you don't have much time for the contestant.

OK, we shouldn't judge her from this appearance alone but then again, most other people manage to come over as pleasant individuals in the same circumstances. She seemed to enjoy being brash and that's not a particularly appealing personality trait.

It's really scary to think how you're going to come across when its your show, (no fingernails left as I will confess I am fairly imminent now - not giving anything away here, the length of time I've been there already its pretty obvious I'm coming up to Noel time!) I know I'm probably going to spend my whole 45 mins hiding behind the sofa and cringing (hubby def. will be :-D )

what i would like to say though is that Max is honestly a really lovely lady and I'm so sorry that didn't seem to come across to many people in her game. You guys on here have been great, but I have browsed another site where they just totally slated her, and I know if she saw the horrible stuff they put that it would really upset her. In real life yes she's a little nutty, but only in a really good way, she's lovely, a real sweetheart, and a really good friend to everyone she was there with and I feel so bad for her

I didn't think she was bad at all. Ok, some of her antics irritated me a little bit but overall she seemed a nice lady.

HURRAH! But also...you can't leave! Even after you've played you have to stay there. You can have Noel's job or something.

And I liked Max. Although I have to confess I still don't understand the business with the pencil sharpener.

We're not nasty on here, unlike over on the dark side. I too have read some of the stuff on the dark side and it is appalling they can say that about her.

I think I know which site you mean Sarah, and it is commonly referred to as 'the darkside', just like they call us 'the other side'. I would happily join any Max is lovely really campaign.
