Mike's game today.

Noel thinks we are nearly there now after Beryl's game yesterday, and thinks that luck has finally returned to the Dream Factory...

Mike has box 16 today. Mike is a firefighting instructor, and he tells Noel how he got into that role in the fire service and what his job involves. Noel mentions how Mike saved Carol when she got a nut stuck in her throat.

Mike's wife has given him a large sign with a picture of 1p on it and it says "Don't come home with this" She can't be in the studio today, as she is due to give birth at any time :D

Mike has his friend Rob in the studio for support, and doesn't have a system.

Here we go....

It's average and so so says Mike, but Noel thinks it's very good at the moment. The Banker is worried about Mike, as firefighters tend to do very well against him :P

The Banker says he has never wanted to crush someone so much in his life!!!

Banker's offer:

£9,900

One power 5 and a mid-red with three blues is in the average range - the power 5 here being £35k makes it above-average but it's not that great. Mike's being realistic here, and I guess Noel's going to talk up the board throughout to encourage No Dealing.

Next round

2 - £75,000 Tim

Another bash at the power5 says Noel

18 - 10p Stuart

Mike picks Ray next and reveals that he was a firefighter in the past as well, and Noel asks him if he had any exciting things happen to him. Ray replies he had an ambition of rescuing a beautiful woman late at night in her nightdress :P

Noel calls a break

Three of the Banker's power 5 and two of the player's have gone in seven boxes. That's a lot.

The board is still decidedly in the average range. Keeping the £250k but not the £50k and £100k will make this terrifyingly unstable; keeping the £50k and £100k but not the £250k will make this decidedly stable.

As I said, cookie_monster, he's fairly accurate. Though it's better than average it's not exactly brilliant. Same for the second round so far as well.

Not sure how to read Mike at the moment. He gave us all that fluff at the start of the game about being there to go for it... and now that the 1p has gone, he may very well do that. However, with a baby imminent I can't help feeling that Mike isn't going to take this game to its full potential and that the banker will be able to entice him out with a poor offer... I hope I'm wrong though.

Four of the Banker's Power 5 have gone, and critically given the introduction the 1p is not the one remaining.

The oranges and £10k could yet turn into a power block in this game.

Mike rushes over to Ray his 1p kiss, and Noel says that it wasn't a very romantic one!!

The Banker is astonished that Ray was once a firefighter, as he looks as though he has the most flammable head he's ever seen  The Banker then asks if the cat that Ray saved is now on his head

Banker's offer:

£11,500

Haha. Some good banter there with Noel, the banker and Ray regarding Ray being a firefighter, rescuing a cat and the cat now sitting on Ray's head...
