What an idiot!

He was going on about how he needed the money, and his kids. I feel no sympathy for him i'm afraid.

I was really surprised he didn't deal at £25,000, I would've in that position.

I think he wanted to be remembered as a gambler.

I was stunned John didn't take the £25,000. I'd have taken that without any prompting at all. I was shouting DEAL at the telly, fully expecting him to accept the offer. I had a feeling it wasn't going to end well. :(

What a great show. To not deal at 25,000 was a brave decision, but as has been said, if the money was that necessary then taking a gamble was the wrong choice. However, the humility with which he accepted his bad fortune was incredible, and a testament to his character.

He handled the loss very well. But to be honest, I can't believe he didn't deal, and am wondering if he actually meant to...

...today was only the second show ever in which I might have considered the second offer :O And I think I'd quite possibly have walked at the third offer, as cowardly as I am. The £25k was a complete no-brainer in my book, but there was only a 30% chance of losing both big numbers (and only a 10% chance of losing all three reds) so you have to say he was unlucky too. With 'average luck' he'd have been left with £50k and one other, probable offer around £20k.

Use a , not a . mate :) The dot for 250.000 means £250 :) I know it's a mute point but I'm a picky person and cheers for doing it.

Anyway, I wanted him to win, real shame :(

That what I thought. As it turns though we are all using it in its American sense, and not the British sense which appears to be the opposite. Live and learn. :D

It wasn't just me who noticed that then?! :-D Quite a few decent shots of Candice too, I seem to remember. It HAS to be Anna's turn at some point in the coming week. Wednesday would be my guess.

:D
