I thought the offers were about right today, including the two hypothetical post-deal ones. They were testing without offering easy decisions.

Look at the "what would you have done" thread to prove that - any option out of dealing the fourth, fifth or sixth offer or going to the end would have been reasonable, compared to some games where nearly everyone would do the same thing.

Completely agreed - I can only guess that I'd have taken the fifth offer out of a sense of wanting a get-out after the £250k going!

Stupid offers in this game. We seem to have gone back to March 07.

I didn't think the offers were too bad, actually. A surprising deal, but Steve didn't look like much of a gambler.

You all complained the offers were too low, and now you say they are too high. I say they are just right. If the offer had been less than 26k, he may have no-dealed and got less money, because no way he would have NDed 13k witha chance of 100 quid. I would've no-dealed the 26k and 22.5k but dealt the 13k.

And that's why you should never take £26,000 unless your name is Norma, Jenny or Alexandra! Although that's now the joint longest run of no third offer deals ever, 66 shows, if tomorrow's player doesn't then we have a brand new record!

It was a cautious Deal today, but I'd take cautious deals over blue wins any day. And he wasn't entirely wrong to take it, he had £50k in his box but he did take the peak offer of the whole game, so almost got a great OPW but it was snatched away at the last minute! Entertaining show, though, loved the Elvis bit (I wonder which song he sung)...but PLEASE say Helen B comes back, I thought she was wicked!

Well done, Steve, with £26,000 you won't be lonesome tonight and crying in the chapel. It's wins like that why I can't help falling in love with Deal or No Deal, a blue suede shoes win way down the board would have made me all shook up! You had £50k in your box but that's all right with me, if you'd have had £250k then there'd have been lots of suspicious minds! You avoided the dream factory turning into heartbreak hotel, that's the wonder of you!

I don't know what i'd have done today TBH but I'd have definitely gone past the 4th offer with 3/5 power 5 and 250K. Might well have dealt at 22.5K but I'm not sure.

i think this game was an LBD like Nicola's but Steve dealt for 9K less.

I have always said that 8 box scenario would be a clear no deal for me though with an offer of less than 30K and I stand by that.

He probably sounded like a lousy pub singer and they wanted to stop 2 million viewers reaching for the off button ..... which they probably did anyway when he made that feeble deal.

Of course there are. The laws are very strict too. You have to pay for the rights, same as any copyright material being broadcast. Those rights can be hugely expensive or refused entirely.

I know it exists but just seems really far fetched we see people sing on other shows before or impersonating someone and never have to cut it.
I guess soon you will need to have rights to even mention elvis's name on a tv show lol.

I'm sure you're right. Elvis would need special permission!

Well lets count it as a blessing if they were refused permission. I loathe genuine Elvis stuff let alone some warbling impersonator.

We could probably start the Elvis jokes about the show now...

With all these twists and dwindling audiences some might say It's Now Or Never for the show, some might say that has been the case since Noel became a Hound Dog begging the players on, sometimes sending players into the Heartbreak Hotel... of course that's something that was Always On My Mind...

Enough of that. Cautious Deal, but less bad than any of the other Deals he could have made - only going to the end would have won him more, and £26,000 is big money, hard to turn down and in his case quite clearly impossible. And one of the most intriguing and dramatic proveouts in a while, twisting one way and then the other!

Edit: Billy did it much, much better

Pleased that Steve won a decent amount of thousands.

Anyone know the proportion of "If only you'd kept with your lucky box til the end" games vs. "Thank goodness you took out your 'lucky' number early on -- it wasn't so lucky after all!" games...?
