Everyone wins something. But some people go from having nothing to having a lot and back again within minutes on this show, when with a little more discretion - justified or otherwise, and the boundary varies or else there'd be no game - they'd go away with substantial sums of money.

The only way to win £250,000 is to go to the end. The only way to win 1p is to go to the end.

50% of all no-dealers win £750 or less. It's your call in how to play it and if that way of playing it means deciding you're going to win your box value whatever, then I hope you're prepared for it to be very little. (And in fairness to you, basicasic, you seem more prepared for it than anyone else of your ilk.)

Thats why my game would be a damn good one ;) with a confetti end.

I seriously just had a strong feeling she had one of them.

Which Is why I could not understand why she went along with the few wimps in the audience who said deal despite having 3 significantly higher sums.

If people like these were always the type of contestants we would never ever have life changing figure wins.

You were right, here I am to flame you once again.

The point I am going to make is that if every contestant had the same view and judgement as you then we would, of course, see more mega money wins but we would also see far too many crashes. There'd be no point in you playing the game, Noel would be better to just open your box and if it contains £250,000 then so be it but if it contained 1p you'd be mightily annoyed. But, as you'd never deal or swap then you couldn't really moan.

I agree, I like to see the games like Maria's, Laura's, Gaz's, Lynne's etc. but just imagine if players like Rodney and Graeme had played your way or if players like Julie (1) and Asim had. I don't know about you but you seem to love seeing the 1p wins but most people don't and many would undoubtedly turn off at the sight of all the crashes. (And all of the big wins would seem far less special and would be insignificant)

25K is nice money but 35K 50K and 75K is a hell of alot more and I know how much i'd rather have.

Couldn't agree more. The thing is all these harbingers of doom that preach caution and dealing actually love it when somebody gambles and wins a huge amount. Yet if everybody dealt like they advocate there would be no big winners and every show would be deadly dull.

...and these games are exciting precisely because they are not the only type of game!!

If you believe nobody should ever deal, go enjoy the Italian show. I gather almost nobody deals in that one.

Or the Aussie show. Where someone turns down an AMO on average every week (usually but by no means always on weak boards).

We'll stick with a version that (at least sometimes) remembers the value of money.

As would every show if every player went to the end because there'd be no point in the game, the big wins would become laborious, as would the low wins and we'd all have turned off after the original 66 show run with 2 quarter-millionaires, Audrey in the 1p club with Nick and every amount on the gameboard won.

Not to mention the third biggest loss in UK game show history - and with a far lower consolation prize than the other two - when Jennifer Miller loses £119,250!

As you well know I never say no-one should ever deal. I never complain if someone takes a risk, then deals the next offer (whether I would have or not). Thats a fair strategy on a risk based show in my opinion and at least they had a go.

I do not like seeing people win low blues only the 1p and its not in a nasty way its just kinda amusing in that other gameshows you can lose and go home with Nothing but no other show can you leave with a penny its just a bit humorous.

KP ok then we would never see 250K wins if everyone was cautious as you lol.

And sadly the onlys ones who have been truly brave to try and win it have failed. And the cowards like Kelsie got punished.

I cannot even call Laura brave the offer was a EASY no deal and she knew it in fact probably more the reason why she went for it it kinda hinted she had it.

Morris deserved to be the first one just the box at the end did not fall his way - Imagine if it had gone right though it would not have done the show too many favours the top prize been won so soon.

Now to make things clear if the fall back was too low id deal im not wakey say you had a 250K finish vs say £10 and as long as offer was 70K plus id run anything less no deal.
I'm not one of these plays who would still no deal if the banker offered me £249,99,99.

I go by the board and if theres clearly alot more in it then offers are easy no deals.

Jennifer would have lost nothing I woulda dealt when she did too and same for Natalies final 250k £1 pair, to no deal a HUGE offer like they go what be complete madness.

And I think you'll find an awful lot of players do take a risk before Dealing - nobody's ever taken the first two offers for a start, and Jean had already put £10,000 on the line with a 50% chance her box contained pocket change. Not a small amount to risk by any means, 'house money' or not!

I somehow don't think anyone dares take the first or second offer.

I'd have won the £250k in Kirsty's game through a swap!

She didn't 'know' it more than anyone else has a 'feeling' for their box! Oh and I'd have turned that £45k down too but wouldn't have won the £250k as a) I'd have swapped, b) I'd have taken the £19,999 on that one-box game, and THAT was her real big decision.

Clearly there was a lot more in a board with a 40% chance of £50 or less in the box, and a 60% chance of an all-or-peanuts situation where almost anyone would Deal given a moderately high offer.

The 19,999 was a bit sticky for Laura but the 45K was a dead easy no deal only a real wimp woulda said deal I proper LOL when some people on the wings told her to deal. BE INSULTED BE BOUGHT CHEAP what a smart girl to realise this and No deal it. I was happy for her but if she had won the big one by turning down a REAL offer I woulda stood and applauded at my tv :D.

I detest swaps its never normally a good idea and 22 is my favorite box number but when her game was on I was yelling SWAP SWAP sincee 22 only had the quarter mill the game before I think it was.

Back to the first and second offers I wonder if anyone will ever have the Cajones to say DEAL at offer two lol.
But tell me in all honesty would you REALLY be pleased if someone did that?

If it were an offer that could reasonably be taken - and don't tell me there's never been one - then I'd love it.

'I wonder if anyone will ever have the Cajones to say DEAL at offer two'... you just admitted there's a certain element of courage involved, it's just that it's fiscal caution but psychological courage, ignoring expectations and - to deliberately use a Noelism - being true to yourself. As opposed to being true to your game show host.

I must admit I wanted a no deal at 5 box today as there were 3 higher than the offer but it's still a good win to continue a great week.

Swaps are statistically more successful than not swapping so your first argument about swaps being a bad idea is void.

Also, I'd have been delighted to see Matt deal at £35,000 and to see Aaron deal at £30,000 because they would have both been OPWs and the offers were insane.

jasmine would have got an OPW too after her start!
It was the 2nd most powerful start ever but i probably would have played it the way she did as her board was too good.

And that's pressure. And it's pressure that the likes of you and basicasic would enforce at people from the first offer to (possibly) the last!

And it takes courage to resist pressure. You wouldn't believe the things some people do when they are pressured to do so!

People may have free will, but that free will is usually capable of being undermined.
