Well

I don't know whether the banker wouldn't call it a victory but that was certainly one game.

Nice touch at the end: I think that defines today's game, Gary is certainly one of the most memorable contestants on DOND.

He didn't quite get what he needed but it's still a good sum to go away with.

Congratulations Gary :smt038 :smt026 Shame you missed out on the big money BUT £29,999 has got to be better than £5,000!!

Been following on the forum as still at work :smt024 (not much work being done though - ooops!) Look forward to seeing the game when I get home.

Hugs and kisses Pussycat - meow x

My flatmate from the Bahamas just came in and said it was by far the best show he'd ever seen. (And hes normally quite critical!) I have to agree it was an amazing turnaround, a brilliant amount to win (£29,999) and couldn't have gone to a nicer bloke. With sales technique like that Gary, you should be on The Apprentice! ;)

I had a feeling something was up when he decided to reveal his walking amount at the start, and thought the Banker would end up offering £29k out of spite - turned out to be a very clever stratergy in the end!

Was pleading with the TV for him to deal at the £30 though, as I thought it would probably fall apart afterwards. Was extremely relieved when he did.

Very very very good game.

Question for Gazza himself: where did the idea of tricking the Banker come from? Was that always your plan?

Perfect! Gary got double what he wanted, viewer got a grand, Noel got Saj's eyes, everyone's happy! Shame you didn't go away with the 90K but relieved when you only had the 5K in your box. Great game, thanks for the entertainment and enjoy your winnings.

P.S. Did Richard let you keep that pound afterwards? :-D

Good game, thought he had made 1p Trevor's mistake of announcing his exit fee for a while but the tactic paid off with a good result, despite the possible £90k in the proveout.

Never mind Beat the Banker Week, this is turning into Bluff the Banker Month!

Nice one Gary!! LOL'd at what you wrote in the book, CLASSIC! :D

You were unbelievably honest in not taking out the box you thought had the £250k I don't know if I'd have done the same!
