Without wanting to go over the top I was disappointed in the deal and the advice there - the risk of disaster was minimal and the offer was poor given the board. If some of those in the wings play their own games the way they advised, we're going to see a lot of early deals coming up. But if it was the right amount for the player I suppose we can't really argue with it too much, and at least he had a blue in the box and didn't miss out on a six-figure sum or anything like that.

Another game, another Deal vs No Deal debate. It was a fairly cautious deal, but £20k's still pretty good!

1 in 56 to be exact. £9k seems marginally high after that for a final five, and about right on blue/£35k at the two-box showdown.

If he had taken out the top 3 he would have got an offer of 3/3.5K but that would have been very unlikely!

44K was the only sensibly pitched offer today. the banker has been a bit mean lately.

true. Pretty remarkable to remove the 7 lowest blues on the wings in the first 8 boxes given there was 10p in your box.

I just thought it was worth the risk on this occasion. that's just my opinion though but if you're happy with 20K that's great. it's substantial money.

I agree that I was a bit disappointed at the deal, I wanted to see an exciting finish with 4 of the power 5 still there, but I also had a funny feeling that the more isolated that 10p became and the longer it stayed, I was convinced that he actually had it in his box! (Similar to Sheran's game where she had the 1p and virtually all the reds except the quarter-million!). Since Stevie's game last Wednesday, indeed the highest value to come to the table has been £50!

I'm nbot conveinced about the proveout offer of £44,400 either - Germaine was only offered £28k on a similar board, and banker surely saw him as more of a threat than Stephen...but then again Gus got offered £67k in his proveout with that board as well, so who knows? 44k would be about right I feel in that it made the 50k/35k coinflip look a very slight loser, but I think it was very geenrous compared to the earlier offers.

£4,400 on a 35k/blue final pair is a complete joke, and I really hope that doesn't come up in active play. That would encourage even me to have swapped at the end! Also stupid how one proveout offers was quite geenrous and the next one unbelievably mean - he must only fiddle with the generosities where it can affect the outcome of the game (i.e. guarantee a TBW)

In all honesty, given how the banker's been playing around with stupid offers recently, I think taking the deal was completely understandable, even though for excitement I wanted to see a no-deal. But I also find perfect proveouts entertaining too, it's just a shame that the £250k was one box too late or it would have been a wonderful OPW!

I also think that James' game has had an effect on the players too, especially coming so soon after Lee - I know that shouldn't affect players but given the bonding that the group seems to have, only people who've experienced it can reallt say what it;'s really like I guess.

At the end of the day , I had one thought in my mind, don't be greedy.

I wrote in the book 8k (enough to pay off a car loan and give me £300 a month extra in my bank account), so needed to get at least that.

Although the show didnt represent it, I thought seriously about the 25k the round b4, I looked and thought I did a sweep, I was stuck at 25k, when the 100k went, I thought my luck was changing, if just 250k had gone in the next round, the banker would have had the ammunition to lower my offer, I'm not so sure the offer would have been quite so high, after all the thought I put into it.

Who knows??? Lol.

I really liked Stephen! He seemeed a nice chap and I'd been looking forward to his game. Shame he dealt too soon, but I can see why he dealt at £20,000 - I hope he enjoys the money!
