Well, the odds of that happening were a bit unlikely don't you think? He was lucky! Perhaps too lucky was the wrong word!

The banker obviously didn't learn from Norman's game.

No, not at all. I can see where you're coming from. i would have been looking for 24/25K for a deal there. There was a 60% chance of winning a red and a big chance of keeping at least one of the big ones in play.
i always judge players decisions on what's on the board at the time and the generousityu of the offer. I try to avoid using hindsight.

Ron did well though and it's a nice way to end the week.
He beat the banker so I'm not going to complain.

What a really disappointing Deal. I really didnt expect it and my mum was annoyed, and she's very cautious

Oh well, I may get some entertainment some other day.

A great way to end the first ever all-male week, definitely! I'm really glad they've finally started doing the LTL properly instead of a dodgy edit job, no more "Oh, Noel's sad so it's a trainwreck" business! And the enter by post thing feels so retro and 90s, you never see PO Box addresses on TV anymore! They've also finally updated the intro bit so it doesn't have people like Alan, Jon G and Claire in anymore, although weirdly there was no date today.

Really good game with a great Banker victory, would have sucked so much if both Norman and Ron had won £1 in the same week! Hope the rest of September's just as good - well done, Ron, the perfect Deal, and have fun at the shuttle launch!

i was disappointed at the time too. the offer was poor and I'm not that big a gambler. I really wanted a big win today - 30-35K to top off a great week but 15K's alright so meh.

One day, Aaron. Hopefully not like late last year and the beginning of this year when we had zero courage

Alexander I agree with you there.

The offers have to be pitched well though. Excitement only comes from courageous players who turn down sensible offers. the fact that I've been going all the way in some games shows the offers are poor as I always weigh up the board etc.

Ah yes, all those cowards in January just did the show no justice. ;) Particularly that Laura woman, god, who does she think she is? :?

Anyway, this whole week has been pretty entertaining with some great games and some great characters, in particular, Jon and Daniel's games. However, although today's game wasn't as lively and entertaining as some of the others, I thought that the deal was respectable and could be justified at the time, even though I also felt that there was more in the game.

And the thing with the date- As of next week, DoND is on on Saturday's instead of Sunday's but, at the time of filming, they were probably scheduled for Sunday's so this week might just have been an 'edit test' so to speak.

Well done Ron! Enjoy £15,000!

I think he was being sarcastic to be fair.

I actually meant February in particular, but April stands out as well.

No, I wasn't being sarcastic :P

Good cover Lewis - greatly appreciated.

So the first newbie played of the new season - guess that means we can't call it a NEW season anymore, especially now it's September ay?

It was a good game.

I don't know if anyone will find this interesting but by my reckoning this show was recorded way back in June. So moving the LTL to the break clearly has nothing to do with the recent (and in my opinion ridiculous) fine.

They must have moved it to be compliant with new gambling laws that they knew would be released yesterday.

Good planning and good idea, but why not do it from the start of the season, unless it was planned as one of the "surprises"?

According to H's filming dates table it was recorded in April!

It'll be interesting for the box openers, I had to sit all throughout Jackee's game getting slowly more nervous about my upcoming box open, but ones from now on would have to wait much less time to do it, and once they had done they could watch the rest of the show in peace. Think I prefer the newer way to the older one, although one advantage about the old way is that you were right next to all the contestants as they did the group hug bit at the end of the show, so you got to say hi to them all and wish them good luck!

Got to hand it to the banker. He pitched the offer just right at 5 box. I thought it was lousy and I didn't think it worth even considering with that board.

But there was no way Ron + wife were playing for a huge payout. I knew from the off they were there to deal and so did the banker. When Ron said the £15k offer was a good one I knew it was all over. The offer was rubbish and it galls me that the banker is getting away with murder. But he did get away with it!

The proveout was fortuitous and Ron did get the most out of the game. But he should have been going away with £20k - £25k in my opinion.

There should be 3 options to Noel's question :

Deal, No Deal or Stuff It.
