As crap as £10,000 was most people would have taken it I think. It's one of those offers which is bad for the board but the board itself makes the offer look big! I thought the offer was about right if not too high!

With Lee's impending wedding I'm pretty sure the banker thought he would get him cheap for the £10k offer. I must admit I thought he would deal.

It was just a shame that luck wasn't on his side as it would have been nice to see the banker's nose rubbed in it for his insult.

Again, I don't think it was at all an insult. It's one of those offers where it's high enough to get people to deal, it's a very volatile board but the offer isn't at all statistically good! I don't like those boards at all.

Wow, he actually DID have 4 of the same boxes in the final five as 1p Trevor - he only difference was £1 instead of 1p! I really wish the banker had been punished for those low offers, but he got really lucky today. I keep saying he deserves to be hit wth a huge payout if he keeps playing it like this, but I guess he already did with Jon (Daniel he had no control over!) :)

I always fill up with dread every time I see Box 6 in the chosen player's hands, the last 3 times it's come to the table, the combined winnings have been £50.12. :(

I'd have done exactly the same too - but again 10k is enough to be hurtful about losing - my mum said she would have take it, and I'd have gone on to win fish & chips....

Well done on a greatly played game Lee - and the lucky pants were hilarious!

The last time I had a bag of chips in Cornwall, I was stung rotten, but £50 might get him and his missus a bit of cod to go with them, and leave a couple of quid change.

Yes it was a good game, good viewing

Well done Lee for taking defeat on the chin and picking yourself up quickly after a terrible game...

...which kind of gives the lie to Noel's closing comment:

"The happiness for them and their little girl really did depend upon the big money payout."

Did it really? Really really? I got the impression they'll get along fine regardless :)

I know. Noel spouting a load of baloney there. Particularly as he had asked Lee only 5 minutes before if the wedding hinged on the money won - to which Lee replied 'No. This was just going to be a bonus'

That's just Noel's hyperbole. but at least he wasn't doing what he did earlier in the year and completely glossing over a bad result.
(Not that Lee did anything wrong).

Oh Noel does sprout some utter twaddle.

Heartbreaking game for Lee, but well played. My mum wasn't happy about him turning down 10K, but as I explained to her, you don't win 250K, by saying Deal.

I agree 10K wasn't that good an offer. It would have been justifiable to deal as there was a high chance of taking out the 250K but missing out on 10k to go for the QM wouldn't have been too bad for Lee.
It's not like he turned down 20K or something. It was like 1p Trevor's game. *beep* offers.

I think most people would no-deal £10k with the big one still up there. My tipping point would probably be around £20k. Thinking about where I placed on the Dealometer, I'd guess it would perhaps be around £15k for the average contestant?

It would be for me, I think, but would probably be based on prevailing trends on the two-box finishes. If I could assume November 2005 final offers, I'd turn down £20,000 in a flash for a 40% chance at over £100,000...

Lee was a great guy and deserved to win much more. Poor Lee.
