I personally agree that had he kept the 10p rather than the £100 at that stage that the offer would have been significantly lower and Alan may well have taken the gamble (However, we don't know as to whether he would have taken the swap or not)

Looking at a game in hindsight isn't necessarily a bad thing although I do agree that Basicasic's tone does indicate that he only thinks he should have gone on through hindsight, rather than before we determined what was in his box. Personally, I was much happier to see him "squander" £25,750 than actually lose £9,150 because, in the long run, £9,250 is a lot of money and the contents of the box in my view become irrelevant once you've dealt because you were clearly happy with your decision when you made it.

I would have loved to see Alan take home £35,000 because he deserved it after the advice he gave on the wings and his attitude to the game. However, £9,250 is a fantastic amount so well done Alan, you played it brilliantly and made the right decision based on what could have happened in my personal opinion.

In all honesty I'd have been treating the £100 just the same as one of the worthless blues in that situation - indeed I'd probably rather win a single coin instead of £100, as it sounds more amusing! :)

Alan was one of my favourites, so I was waiting for his game. Despite the fact that the game looked so bad, he managed to turn it around and deal at a sensible sum – it’s a shame that he could’ve won more had he gone to the end but he dealt at a sum he felt happy with, so well done to him!
