that's oK I was just curious. I thought 36.4K was a clear cut deal anyway. I was just surprised when you said you would have no dealt. 50K.

If ure saying that u had a 60% chance of taking it out then it was just 50/50 I can sort of see where you're coming from. Would have been a huge gamble. i'd have taken the 50K without thinking.
It stastically sort of makes sense but sometimes ( not so much in your case) is strange when someone deals on a stable board then says they would have gambled at the end.[/quote]

You would have taken that Derisory 50K offer with the 250K in final two???? The banker would love you.

Check this thread LOL.I'd probably bottle it

http://www.dond.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5652

yes i probably would as 50K is my tipping point and a psychologival barrier but 40/45K or less and I could proabbly no deal.

If I was brave enough to no deal say 35K as 5 box I'd proabbly get a decent offer at the final 2 now anyway nowadays.

unless they were desperate for another 250K win again of course lol they might only offer you 35K this time lol with sarahs pairing.

Id no deal that 50K offer too Ive too much pride to take derisory offers id rather lose than be bought cheap.
Whenever the 250K is in final two the offer should be 70k minimum!

i agree

It's weird though, Laura's was the only stupidly low active play offer with the 250K in the final 2. All others were at least 70K.

Yes and you know why don't you ;)?

Laura realised why and happily oblidged the producers wishes and who can blame her shes getting 250,000 out of it lol.

Don't get me wrong , lovely girl nice person and a nice person to win it its just tainted somewhat because the offer made it so obvious what the show producers wanted, as she realised too.

Yeah I always found it odd that Claudine got a very high offer just before that's all. They must have wanted the 250K win in the new year.
They clearly didn't want Claudine to win it.

I just cringe when people call laura the bravest constestant ever when her final offer was a no brainer no deal and she knew it. As did everyone on the wings and viewers at home allthough why some wingers said deal is still unbelivable .
When it is won again I wanna see someone take a REAL gamble for it and turn down a substantial offer.

Brian is someone I wanted to see win the 100K and had he been alone theres no doubt in my mind he would have or 40K minimum like I said he clearly was there for the fun of it more than anything else despite the target.

i do get what you mean though, if her final offer had been 65/70K things would have been more interesting.

I agree with you about Brian today. i would have liked to have seen him gamble to 2 box.

Yer she woulda walked ive no doubt she was far too cautious and didnt have 250k winner material all over her at all. Asking for advice at second offer. I am so glad she ignored her friend anyway that woulda been horrendus.

I heard she once said had the offer been 50k or more she woulda walked.

I'm sure Noel said something about my offer at 5 box stage being lower at the beginning of Ryan's game. I'll have to get his DVD out to check but I remember at the time thinking, I never even chatted to Noel except for the moments filming!

I mean its obvious hes selective since he completly forgot about you within 7 months and only thinks Brian is best psychic lol.

One question out of curiosity Sarah I know I could just ask this in general discussion and someone might post whos been to a taping but asking a contestant is better...

When you recorded your show do you hear any of the music or sounds at all that we hear on tv? Like the theme at opening/ end selection music/ drone music/ tension question music banker music etc.?

I'm really curious.

No we didn't hear any, it's was just silence.

We stared at the table while they film our faces for close ups for when it flashes, before Noel even gets there!

When he did his speach about which player it is we all had to just stare right back at him while we all waited in silence for him to say who was playing, very nerve racking!

We did hear the theme tune though at the beginning which we weren't filmed for (obviously!) We had to have a different dance each show, a bit of a tradition. The west wing were the best movers!!

Oh yes, didn't at least one show have the dance redone and aired?

I find it extremely telling that all the music cues are absent in the live product, especially as I personally think it's not a good music package at all. (A point of comparison: Millionaire's music is heard in the studio, and that was the best game show music ever until the new series!)

Thanks for that Sarah :)
I guess it seems odd in silence and you guys and the pilgrims have to keep the excitement up through clapping and cheering lol.

KP - I always had a hunch millionaire the music played live in the studio while people play etc you can just "tell", I don't like the new club mix theme though and I miss the heart monitor during the later questions that was OWNAGE. PLEASE PUT IT BACK lol.

I don't mind the music from the £2k question onwards, or what there is of it. The heartbeat effect that was there before worked though, whereas the same effect on DoND somehow doesn't. Waiting for someone to get to £50k so I can comment on THAT new music...

Great contestant and made me smile sooo much during yesterday's game, good to see he went home with a good sum of money, as many favourites go away with very little.

That was the funniest show in yonks - not just Brian but his two young female neighbours Vicky and Siobhan had hilarious exchanges when it came to their box openings! Shame about the 100k in the box, but I thought it was actually a good deal, the right deal at the wrong time, the opposite of karen if you like! :)

And the 40k proveout offer had me cursing that it would secure a TBW by 2p, but I'm sort of pleased that the 100k in the box made it irrelevant. It does seem high, but compare it to what Susan was offered with 50p instead of the 1k, and Buddy was offered with 3k instead of the 1k....

And Brian makes my ideal line up for sure - he definitely usurps Barry for best male in E11, but for overall I'd have to take out Jaye in order to do that, and she was one of the hottest females there's ever been...decisions, decisions. But I suppose Siobhan could overtake Ken in my ideal line up when she plays, so I'll make sure E10 and E11 have one funny old man and one gorgeous woman one way or another.... ;-)

One of the funniest games for ages – I wasn’t sure what Brian would be like in his game and this is what I like in a player – when you know their game will be memorable because of them, but you’re not sure why! There are far too many funny moments from that game to list… but I’ll sum them all up by saying I found Brian very funny and he managed to do the Tommy Cooper impressions very well!! :P

Well done to Brian for his win – it’s a shame he could’ve had more but it doesn’t matter as he was so entertaining whilst on the show!
