I'm sure that comment kept the offer down, but then again £33,316 was fitting. In January, he'd have thrown that in at eleven-box!

I think I'd be looking for £45k in that eight-box configuration and £30-35k at five-box - I'd have expected a straight £30k offer.

I wonder why the 19.5K so insanely low though. Who would actually deal that!?

I actually thought when her name was picked that she was going to do a helen and refuse to play, such was the look on her face! But having thought I'd dislike her, I took to her completely during the game, and and was thrilled for her.

I was cursing when she took the deal, but how I loved being proved wrong - every one of those big boxes in the proveout was fantastic, and it would have taken a brave person to no-deal and swap with Brian's box at the end if they were going to get more than 33k out of the game...I thought when she dealt she had no chance of the OPW, and arguably she only got it due to a deflated proveout offer, butI'm sure the Feb 06 banker would have done that in active play too (the £19,500 I mean)

That was the best "wrong deal at the right time" since JT actually, and I love being totally proved wrong, so well done Karen!

Can this great run of luck hold for when Brian plays please? ;-)

This game was great - Everyone I know who was watching it thought she'd gone too soon.
Brian's game is gonna be interesting!!!!

I love games like these, where you think the player has gone at the wrong time and then totally prove you wrong by wiping out all the big numbers!

£33,316 was way too low for that board though, I was expecting an offer of about £50,000 or something, and the proveout offer of £19,500 was ridicously low too, with three of the power five still in contact and only two blues, the offer should have been around £30,000 - £40,000 in my opinion. Not that I'm complaining! I'd rather see a deflated proveout offer than an inflated one and it meant she beat the Banker! Welldone Karen, enjoy the money! :D

Oh and I was very disappointed in Noel for forgetting Psychic Sarah.

I've just watched the game and what a game! First off Noel's liking of baby oil is slightly disturbing... the £19,500 offer was really bad, what was the banker thinking of... and the £12,500 wasn't great either.

Stats at £19,500
Boxes left: 5
Mean: £45,000.30
Offer: £19,500
Offer (%): 43.33%
Fair Deal: £26,595.28
Volatility: 0.80
Redometer: 10

I now love the changes in the music, the music when she was contemplating the £33,316 was just right.

Good player, good game, good win!

(Also for some reason Karen really reminded me of Catherine Tate.)

Rossano and Debbie's games really got this season off to a brilliant start, but this game was one of the worst ever! It wasn't Karen's fault, its just that the offers in the game were the most unrealistic offers I've ever seen. I just can't see how Noel could have even said that the hypothetical offer would have been £19 500 because it wouldn't have been! The £33 316 was bad enough! The 'Banker' really is loosing his marbles, that is to say that Noel doesn't just make up offers and was doing that because he fancied Karen. And now Brian is the best psychic ever! Has Noel forgotten about Sarah? It's as if he doesn't even bother...

Thanks guys, Karen's was the first game this week that I managed to see and it felt like Noel was saying it to me! "you were a load of rubbish Sarah!"

I missed the first 10 minutes of Karen's, did Brian say the 50k was in his box on camera?

xxxx

yes he said that and happened to have the QM quite a few times.
Brian is such a legend though so its funny but that doesnt
make him a good psychic like Sarah.

i agree completely, I didn't like karen's offers but she dealt so it was good banker play. (the 19.5K offer really *beeped* me off too!)
Rossano's game however was bizarre. The banker's offers were all appalling considering he was a gambler. I was glad he won but should have been tested more with trickier decisions and higher offers.
I hope Alan will play soon then we can have a proper banker/player scrap as he won't stand for rubbish offers.

Karen has box 10 today...

There is a very odd reaction to Karen being called out... Karen tells Noel that she wanted to stay longer on the wings with the great people she has met.

Noel asks Karen about her fascintion with wrestling. She tells Noel how she loves it and would love to wrestle, and we learn that Stevie has been a wrestler, and Karen has actually seen him wrestle...

Karen has her friend Chrissie in the audience for support today...

Here we go...

Being a wrestling fan id like to know just who stevie is because he doesnt remind me of any british wrestler.

This was a good game, and produced a good result – well done to Karen and I hope she enjoys the money! I did notice that Noel sounded a little disappointed when the £250k was revealed in proveout, almost as if he was looking forward to rubbing it in! :?

Noel also said that Brian’s the best psychic ever… what about Psychic Sarah, and urm… Irene (1)?
