Oh dear! :( Poor Trevor- he had awful luck all the way through and deserved to get much more than he did. He did say when he first came to the table though that he'd be taking a 1p cheque home to his wife. How right he was. :( It was a gripping game, with a ghastly outcome. :(

I've just had a look through the local paper and on the local news sites to see if he's been interviewed anywhere, but I've not found anything. If I find anything in the next few days I'll post it here.

Nick's got a new club member then! :(

:D

Just watching the re-run on More4 as i missed most of the atmosphere and drama of this game while commenting and checking out the sequence theory...

I've got the re-run on too, though the TV's in the living room and the PC's just outside it in the hallway. I can still hear it though.

The atmosphere when the £250,000 went was unreal- just blanket, complete stunned silence.

After watching the re-run on More4 I was able to capture more of the drama and atmosphere that I missed earlier.

All I can say is what an incredible game, the tension and emotion on the opening of that last box was amazing.

No Deal if you do find anything in the local press over the next few days it would be great if you could share it with us. I imagine there hasn't been anything so far because Trevor would have signed a confidentiality clause not to reveal anything.

Hat's off to you Trevor that was a bold effort to go for the £250,000 and it's games like yours that make this show so gripping.

Will do! :D There was a small piece in the local paper yesterday saying that Trevor was on today's show and that the amount he won couldn't be revealed and I'm guessing that they'll interview him in the coming days. As soon as I see anything I'll post it in this thread.

The paper mentioned the area he lives in and it's not all that far from me- three or four miles I think.

:D

What an emotional game that was! I feel so sorry for Trevor, I really wanted him to do well. I was shouting at the screen "Jim!! Box 21!!!" because I had a gut feeling the 250,000 was in box 1 and i was right.
That's a bit shocking about the sequences but then again if the people who've auditioned get on the show then they'll have a pretty good chance of getting a decent result because you'd be able to work out where the £250,000 is after just a few boxes (or one if you're really confident).

Somehow I get the feeling that if the people on the forum that have auditioned actually get on, the sequences they might be faced with will not be the ones we are looking at now.

If they were, Endemol would only have themselves to blame. Todays show was all the more ghastly knowing what was in Box 1. I was willing Trevor to pick the other one, then we'd have had an exciting finale. But it always seems to happen like that - 1 box to choose, and sods law he picks the wrong one. Before we know it hes got 1p instead of the big offer he deserved to get if he'd kept the £250k in play. Poor bloke, you could have heard a pin drop in that studio at the end.

Even if they do change the sequences, unless they do it totally and utterly at random each time then it won't take all that long before someone works it out again and anyone who pays attention once they're in the hot-seat should be in with some luck.

For all those that are asking - the details of 'sequencegate' as some are referring to it are on the left hand side of the first page of http://www.bothersbar.co.uk. Click on the days of this week under the DOND section ( ie: 136 comments here), particularly Monday when it all started but also yesterday and today. The boards are very long and there are a lot of satistics but the evidence is there - plainly laid out. Very interesting reading and certainly something to think about. Can't be long before we hear from Endemol on this as the evidence is so detailed. There is a lively discussion regarding the ins and outs of it on Digital Spy.

Todays game was very very sad to watch.

Be warned though - I was so obsessed with matching it to a sequence that when I did and knew what was in the boxes it spoiled it.
