Aw man… she dealt with the £100,000 in her box on my birthday? That stunk… but at least she still won a good chunk of change! I did want a big win on my birthday, and I did get that, even if it wasn’t what I was hoping for.

Happy anniversary!

Sounds like this game was a cracker - I must get back into watching as the shows are broadcast, I've drifted away for some reason lately...

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

Well the important thing there was getting to 3-box because none of the prior offers were up to much - as demonstrated by the 3-box one being more than doubled even with £50k going!

Hypothetical 2-box offer would extremely have been worth playing for but the real one may have been a different story, and the drop from £22,670 (was this recorded before or after 6-7 became a thing?!?) to about a third of that is not to be underestimated. So I for one am not arguing with that deal - and definitely an expensive escape for the Banker!

Another day, another situation where the Gamble may have been a viable offer (with the stipulation that if the £5,000 was in her box she’d leave with nothing) Alas. Thought we’d see the banker pull out old reliable £26k there as well. I suspect had she been in live play at 2 box the offer would have been in the £45-£49k range.

In the Channel 4 days I suspect after she revealed she had come for £12,000 the offers would just have been a simple £24,000 and then £48,000!
