And he had

£3,000 :)

Not a bad deal, missed out on a big amount, but who would have dealt in round 2 with that strong of a board.

Shame he dealt a bit too soon, but he dealt for more than his box was worth.

never thought he would've dealt at £9,000

It was the right thing to do though

He surprised me as well, I thought as he was going on for another round. Although I think if he did play the next round he would have dealt for the £6,000 at the end of that round.

I'm normally very cautious, but I wouldn't even have contemplated the £9k offer. Or the £6k one come to that. Just too many good values left.

Given that he turned down £17k earlier I was very surprised. That just proves that the Banker can offer whatever the hell he likes in the first two rounds and nobody's going to take it.

I'm with you on that one KP, I was quite surprised at the no deal. I can't really see anyone ever dealing in the first 2 rounds as the only way they will get a good offer from the banker is if they have a strong board. But with a strong board most people will be tempted to carry on, the only way someone might take an early offer would be if the banker perhaps offered an amazing amount of £20,000+.

Now that would put them in a difficult situation :?

On that board I think the £17k was the area where there appeared to be a decision to make. It depends on whether you're thinking 'job done, that's a lovely sum of money' at that point.

Incidentally, of the 83 players so far, precisely one could have maximised their winnings by going at the opening offer, and one could have maximised their winnings by going at the second offer. Can you name them?
