Stephen's game today.

Noel welcomes us back after our long break! He says we ended series one with the worst week ever in payouts and he says the banker is feeling incredibly confident today!



Stephen has Box 15 today. Stephen Michaels is a 48-year old funeral director! Noel asks Stephen if he enjoys his job, and Stephen says he thinks it's quite fufilling, as his job helps to comfort a lot of upset people, which he likes. He tells Noel everyone always thinks he should be part of the Adams family as he's a funeral director who loves the number 13! Noel asks if Box 13 will be saved until last, and Stephen says he wants it to be the box he opens at the end...his wife Karen is in the audience, Stephen says weirdly, they've been together for 13 years! Noel says this is going to be a mad one to start our new series...

Stephen confirms he chose Box 15 at random before the show.

The banker rings and welcomes everyone to another series! He says he's feeling in a terrific mood and he thinks he's going to win every game for the first week! Stephen shakes his head and the banker says he thinks Stephen will start believing in bad luck once this game is over - he tells Stephen that here's a chance to have that Box 13 he wants...

Stephen says he always wanted Box 13 on the table, so he's ready for the question. Noel says it's very interesting to have no money offered.

Noel welcomes us back to Stephen's game - he asks Stephen if Box 15 is next, and Stephen says he's changed his mind!

Maybe that was for the best, Noel says. Time for the next offer...



The phone rings and the banker says he thinks giving Box 15 away was a bad decision - Stephen says he's very happy with Box 13, and the banker thinks that it won't be for long...

Stephen says it's a very good offer...he says that there are so many reds, but still some blues to hit. He asks if anyone thinks he should deal and nobody says anything...Stephen says that speaks for itself!

Third round - Noel tells Stephen it's a very strong board, and he needs to continue to avoid the reds.

Big cheers for that...Noel says this is terrific for our first show back!

Groans, and then silence...Stephen says it's funny how it can just turn like that....Noels says he's taking it well and we'll play on.

The banker calls and Noel says he's whooping with delight over the loss of the £250,000! Stephen says it's still a strong board...

Stephen says it's a good offer, again....Gavin tells him he has to go for it - Noel asks why, and Gavin says there's still three of the power of 5 left, and the £15,000...Stephen says he's ready for the question

Next round - the board is still strong, Noel says, and we have to keep it that way. Stephen says he's going with his original box - Box 15 - now.

Huge cheers - Noel says he swapped away one of the lowest amounts! Stephen gives Tyler a kiss for that.

4 - £100,000 Corinne

More groans...Noel says this game is like a rollercoaster; with one box there's cheers and the next, there's groans. Stephen says we'll just have to readjust...he chooses Box 7 with Gareth next, Noel says normally he would make a joke about Gareth's height now, but it's so tense, that he's just going to call a break!

Noel welcomes us back to the final chapter in Stephen's game!

Stephen says he's sticking with Gareth.

Time for the next phone call...



The banker quickly rings and says it was brave of Stephen to choose Box 15, and it paid off...he still thinks that Box 13 contains 1p. The audience cry 'no' and Stephen says he thinks the banker will regret saying that when he wins £75,000!

There are claps for that offer, and Stephen says it was kind to stick when he found the £100,000...Noel agrees, and tells Stephen that he should ask for the advice. Corinne says that £10,000 almost seems as a lifeline as the big amounts are dropping one by one...Julian insists that it's still a strong board, with an imbalance in his favour...Ethel calls out to go for it!

Big cheers, Noel says he's giving us a great first game back, and now we need a good round to give it a perfect climax!

That's fine, Noel says...some audience members clap, but Noel says we should wait for the round to end to celebrate...

NO, Noel says...Stephen sits down and says that it's just the £75,000 now...

20 - £15,000 Kenneth

More groans...all or nothing, Noel says...time for the penultimate offer.



The phone rings and the banker says he was tempted to stick at £10,000, but he doesn't think he needs to pitch it that high...Stephen shakes his head, and the banker says that this is a very good offer.

Stephen says it's a good offer...Noel says that it's been 9 shows since a win over £20,000...Stephen says he wants to change that, but £8,000 is a lot of money....the phone rings, and Noel talks to the banker quickly before saying he's revised the offer

Stephen laughs...he says the £13 obviously doesn't make a difference...he asks Grace who says that he should start the series with a £75,000 win! Stephen says the odds are against him...he thinks about it, then asks for the question

Stephen says

Noel congratulates him, and Stephen says it was a hard decision, but in the end, there's only one amount higher and it was all or nothing. Noel says we now need to find the £75,000, and funnily enough, we're now hoping that Box 13 does contain 1p after all!

Groans...Noel says we've got two more boxes to find the £75,000 now.
