May's game today.

Noel welcomes us back after 2 weeks away! Noel says it seems like a lifetime since Laurence had an amazing battle with the banker, but in the end, the banker was the winner....he says that we've just two shows left of the battle of the sexes, and currently the men are a few grand ahead....here's the board...



May has Box 6 today. May Parkes is 67-years old and is retired...Noel says that it's Mays 15th show today, and that is the case as May put in a request to leave....May says she woud have loved to have stayed longer but she is needed back home...she shows us a picture of her grandson Charlie, who is 12-years old and severely handicapped...May says her additional help back at home was needed and she felt awful living it up in Bristol when her daughter was struggling with him back at home! May talks about her husband Ken, and how he passed away a few years ago...Noel says this isn't a very cheerful start! May says that she's at peace with everything and she says she doesn't see this all as being sad, as it is just life...Noel says she sounds inspirational, and the audience applaud her!

May says she has no system, and whilst she has no target, she doesn't want to blow any huge sums of money as any financial rewards at the moment will help so much...Noel says we'll get them for her! May confirms she chose Box 6 at random before the show, and she says it's a very good number for her!

A lot of people who would leave at this point, Noel says...May says £20,000 is a lot of money, but it's a rare oppurtunity to have a really strong board such as hers...she says she's very undecided and could do with individual advice...Noel asks Ai-Linh why she'd deal, and she says that there's only 2 amounts much higher and the chances are she'll hit one of them, and it could be the £250,000...he asks Peter why he'd no deal, and Peter says that it's a once in a lifetime chance to be this close to £250,000! May thanks them both and says she's ready...

May says it's a very good offer...Ashleyne says she's been with her for all 15 shows, and she's heard and learnt so much about May and about her grandson Charlie...Ashleyne tells May to think about the difference £35,000 would make to her...May says that the £250,000 would just be so lifechanging for all of them...she starts to cry and Noel says it's such a lonely place to be...May says she'll never forgive herself if she doesn't get this right...she stares at the board for a while and says she just wants someone to tell her what to do...

Everyone cheers and May smiles...Noel tells her he's never wanted to see that £250,000 more than he does now, as he believed she could win it until she said 'deal'
