Noel talks about Mandy's game yesterday, and says although she got £8,500, she was just one round away from a lot more money...he tells today's player to remember that you're only in the chair once! We look at the board...



Robbie has Box 2 today - at last, cries Noel as he takes the walk of wealth! 60-year old Robbie Hawkins is a economics lecturer! Robbie says he'll spare the details but says he's been doing it for nearly 30 years, and he loves it...we hear about how Robbie's always giving advice on the wings, usually encouraging players to deal. Robbie says he recognizes the amazing chance that Deal Or No Deal is...his wife Penelope is in the audience, and they've been married for 34 years.

Robbie is the last of the originals...it's been a fantastic 26 shows, he says, and hopefully the 27th will be financially rewarding! We see some pictures, and Robbie talks about his family tree...he confirms he chose Box 2 at random

The perfect end to the round, Noel says! The banker rings and says that he could offer the standard £25,000 - £30,000 for this board, but it won't get him anywhere...he says he needs to get Robbie out now!

Some of the players on the wings look stunned with that offer...Robbie keeps a poker face and says that money means a lot to him. He looks at the board for a while, and he tells Noel that he doesn't think anyone can give him advice...he asks Penelope who says that she knows what he's going to do...Robbie looks at the board for a while and says that £40,000 is lifechanging, but it is only a fraction of the £250,000 that he believes he is going to win.

Gasps from the wings! Noel says it's the most money anyone has turned down...it was a massive offer, and now Robbie is going to prove it was a good decision!

There is a scream from the east wing among all the cheers and Noel tells Gwen to calm down! The audience laugh as the 10p disappears off the board....Robbie says Ashleyne had the £250,000 yesterday...

This is incredible, says Noel...another blue and we are looking at amazing sums of money!

Massive cheers - the audience clap and cheer and a few of the contestants are jumping up and down with excitment. Robbie sits and smiles and strokes his beard!

What an amazing board for an amazing man with amazing bravery, Noel says! The banker rings and says that Robbie knows there is not £10 in his box, and he is incredibly scared...this is the first time it looks like a player might get that £250,000....

Huge cheers for that, and Robbie smiles...now this is a decision, he says. He says he could go away with £20,000 and not mind too much....he stares and stares at the board, and Noel asks what he's thinking...Robbie looks at him and says that he's thinking he's ready for the question...Noel says HE'S not!

What an amazing game this is, Noel says...he says that now we need to find the £250,000 and the £100,000...Robbie says he always follows orders...

The banker says that he has to hand it to Robbie that the best man won...the audience cheer and Noel says he doesn't think the banker will ever say that again!
