Mike's game today.

Noel talks about how the banker has found a special offer of £14,999, that made Melinda win 10p and stopped Caroline from winning £42,000...he wonders if it will be used in today's game, and how the player will cope...we look at the board



Mike has box 16 today! Mike Richards is a 29-year old broadcasting supervisor...Mike says he enjoys his job a lot, and that's where he met his wife Fiona, who is in the audience to support him today. Mike says he's had a weird feeling about Box 16 since he chose it, and he thinks there's a huge sum in it...Noel says that's very interesting! Mike talks about how they'd love to get the money to be able to adopt and support a baby, as Fiona is infertile which has given them a lot of difficulties over the years...Noel tells them it's a great ambition....

We see a picture of when Mike and Fiona first met at 14-years old! Mike says it wasn't for years later when they became a couple...Mike confirms he chose Box 16 at random

Mike asks for the audience and the wings to cheer really loudly for him when there's a blue!

Noel isn't sure what to make of it...4 reds and 1 blue isn't a great start, and Mike admits that the loss of £100,000 was a big hit...the banker rings and says that it's a similar start to Caroline's game, but even worse...he says that Mike is a family man, a kind man with a good ambition and a lovely wife...and he hates him!

Fantastic all-blue round, says Noel...he asks Mike why he changed his mind, and Mike says that he just had a weird feeling that he should leave Box 17 for a while....the banker rings and says that now, to top it all off, Mike has a good board...he tells Roy that he is no longer the least favourite, although it's only temporary as Mike is about to leave with this offer...

That's a very nice offer, says Mike...he asks Gwen who says that it's a lot of money, but she wouldn't even think of dealing...Claudia tells him that the £250,000 is still there, and if he's got these feelings that it's in his box, it's far to early to think about dealing.

Mike cheers and shakes Robbie's hand...Noel says it's amazing how he's creating this huge hole in the left hand side, with a huge block on the right...

Groans from the audience...Mike says it was bound to happen, and Noel says it's looking a bit fragile now...

Mike tells the audience to cheer louder and they respond, he thanks Keith and takes a seat

Noel says it's shaping up very nicely, and Mike agrees...the banker rings and says that he disagrees, and it was a bad round, because the second highest amount was found! The banker tells Mike to think of Fiona and their future family when considering this offer...

Mike looks impressed...there it is again, his favourite offer, says Noel. Mike says he knew it was coming at some point. Noel says that it's actually a very good offer for the board as there's a huge gap...Lola reminds Mike that Dex got offered £15,000 with the top 4 in play...she says that it's early in the game, but that doesn't mean there's no point in dealing. Mike says Fiona asked him not to go to her for advice, but he's going to. She says she has no idea about odds or statistics and she can't tell him if it's a good idea or not to go on...she just says that it's a lot of money.

That was brave, says Noel, as the offer was pretty high. Mike asks everyone to link hands and think blue for the next round...

Awful all-red round...Noel tells the wings that someone out there must have been thinking red! Mike laughs and sits down, ready for the offer...the banker said that after some nice blues, it's evened out back to a blue-dominant board...he says that round may have ruined the game for Mike!

Mike says it's still a really good board...he asks Robbie who says that as usual, the offer is pitched slightly lower than it should be, due to the previous round...Mike asks for the question...

Let's get back on a blue trail, Noel says. Mike agrees and tells everyone to think red, and maybe we'll get blues instead...

The audience cheer and some of the contestants on the wings look thrilled...Mike smiles and looks back at his wife who is nodding. Mike says that it's a huge offer, but the only reason it's a huge offer is because the banker too now believe that the £250,000 is in Box 16....Mike sits down and thinks about it, and Gwen tells him not to be foolish....

Mike says

Everyone looks very satisfied with that deal...Noel congratulates Mark and Fiona and tells him to destroy the board!
