Caroline's game today.

Noel talks about Gus' unique game...he says that a lack of courage stopped him achieving the £50,000 he believed he would win, and he says that the previous days events affected him...he says that each day we learn different ways the game can turn, and he wants todays player to give us a huge win....we look at the board, as usual...



Caroline has Box 17 today. Caroline Harvey is a 22-year-old drama student and waitress from Bristol...wasn't long to get to the studio, says Noel! Caroline says she's very nervous, as she's the first person to play who wasn't originally on the wings...Noel tells her not to be nervous and win loads of money! Caroline has a boyfriend, Declan, but he had to leave this morning! Caroline does have her mum Julie, in the audience. Caroline says she has a rough target of what she'd like to win

We see some pictures of Caroline with her friends...Caroline says she'd love to be on the West End and be a stage performer some day...she confirms Box 17 was selected at random

Caroline says she thinks the first box really affects the game, so she wants a blue!

Not a blue, but okay, says Caroline...she says Maud is brilliant and much louder than she is on the wings!

Low groans for that...Caroline says she'll get rid of all the remaining originals...

Caroline adjusts her glasses and then gives him a kiss on the cheek

A pretty good opening round, says Noel. Caroline says she's glad the 10p is gone after Melinda's game a few days ago...the less she has to remember of it, the better, she says....the banker rings and says that nervous Caroline is in the chair! He tells her that her nerves can end should she deal now...

Next round...you don't seem like a gambler but you turned that offer down quickly! Caroline says she's not a gambler, but it's far too early in the game and it's not enough money yet...

Caroline will now go from the player that has been here the longest to the newbie...Caroline stops and says she doesn't want the newbie last, so she'll do it in reverse order...that decision will change the whole game, says Noel!

Such a shame we had to find those two large amounts says Noel...Caroline is still positive and asks Robbie what he thinks the offer will be...Robbie says around £3,000...she asks Maud who says she thinks he'll be harsh and go down to £1,000...the banker rings and says he'll meet both of them in between!

Caroline says it's a good offer, as it's gone up after she lost the £250,000....she asks her mum, who says that £2k should mean a lot to her, and that it's far to easy to dismiss the early offers. Caroline looks at the board and says that £2,000 is great money for her...

Caroline says she definately needs to even it out now with an all-blue round, and Noel says good thinking...

You haven't balanced it, but it was a pretty good round, says Noel...Caroline says she doesn't think the £10,000 makes that much difference....the banker rings and says that as far as £100k boards go, it's pretty good...however, he's not worried about Caroline yet...he says that people don't seem to be behind her, and the wings all start shouting NO and cheer for Caroline, and the audience join in! Noel says you can't doubt the support behind her, and the banker says that he wants to hear that cheer again for this offer...

Caroline says that it's a lot of money...she talks about going to take some money out and seeing £6,700 in her bank account...her mum tells her that it'd be a great start for life after university, and it's a sensible sum of money...Caroline agrees, but she thinks there is another round in it...Noel asks who the new 'mummy' is as they usually have lots of advice, and Caroline says that it's Mary-Louise, who tells Caroline that judging from past games, she should go on another round, but nothing is given and the next three boxes could be the £100k, £75k and £50k...Caroline takes a deep breath and asks for the question!

Caroline now wants the all-blue round she failed to get last time! Do NOT hit any of the top three, warns Noel!

Caroline makes a weird squeeling noise and Noel imitates it! Time for the 1p, she says...

Caroline smiles and everyone cheers! Noel says that after a shaky start, this is an amazing turnaround, he calls a break...

Caroline says that she can't believe how fantastically it's shaped up...Noel says that there's going to be a hard decision ahead, and we'll learn how much of a risk Caroline really is prepared to take. The banker rings and says that Caroline hasn't proven anything to him yet, so this is what he thinks will turn out to be the main decision of the game...

Caroline smiles and claps...she says she has no idea what to do...her mum says that £13,000 is a fantastic sum of money for anyone, especially someone so young with so much student debt. Caroline says that it won't pay off all her student debt, and she wanted to do that AND have some money left over to start her life with....Noel says she spoke of a ideal figure, and asks if £13,000 is close...Caroline says it isn't really, but it may be too much to risk...Robbie says the average is around £28,000, so he's offering less than half of it, which at this stage is a little low. Liz adds that yesterday, he got Gus out with a relatively low offer for the board, and she says the banker is probably thinking it will work again, and again...Caroline says that she's not worried about beating the banker, as long as she gets the money she wants from it...her mum asks if £13,000 is the money she wants, and Caroline asks for the question.

Caroline says

Noel says when he said £13,000 out loud, he was sure Caroline would take it, and he says she's surprised us all...now prove it was a wise decision, he says!

Caroline screams and hugs Mandy, who whispers 'you're doing great' in her ear. Noel says it's a fantastic start, Caroline quickly adds it's all about how you finish...you've had 6 blues in a row, make it 7....

Silence...Caroline looks at the board then starts a round of applause, saying it's okay...Noel agrees but tells her not to hit another one

Caroline smiles and the audience cheer...

It would have been a dream to keep all three in, and Caroline says that the top two stayed in play...Noel has no idea where the banker is going to pitch the offer. The banker rings and says that it was a brave decision, and he thinks this will be a very easy deal for Caroline now...he tells her not to be stupid, and get carried away like Melinda did...

The reaction is mixed from the audience, and Caroline shakes her head...Noel says that after her saying right at the beginning of the game that she wanted to forget Melinda's game, he's giving her Melinda's highest offer, one she turned down just before winning 10p...Caroline says she really wants to go on, and checks with her mum, who asks whether the girl who was tempted to deal £2,000 earlier really is going to no deal £15,000? Lola tells Caroline not to get carried away like Melinda...she says she would go on, but she thinks Caroline should deal. Caroline says she's torn...she looks down at the table for a while, before asking for the question.

Caroline says

The audience cheer...Noel says he's so happy for her, and Caroline says she knew it was a low offer, but she just couldn't risk it...she says she can do a lot with that money...Noel asks her mum, who says she's absoloutely thrilled that Caroline didn't make a foolish decision...Noel says that we'll have to now see if she did or not...

Caroline laughs nervously and looks back at her mum, looking very scared. Noel says the next box MUST be the £75,000 or the £100,000....

Silence...Noel says that whatever happens now, Caroline has dealt to early...he tells her that if this is the £500, then the offer would have been absoloutely huge...Caroline starts to cry as she picks the next box

Banker time with £500 and £100,000 remaining



The board would have been so strong...Caroline wipes her eyes as the phone rings...the banker says she blew it...he says that £14,999 is his favourite offer...when declined, the player walked away with 10p, and when accepted, the player lost out on a huge sum

Caroline tries to stay strong but keeps crying...she says it's ridiculous to cry when she's won so much money, the audience applause that

Noel says he really hopes that the £100,000 isn't in Box 17, and Caroline thinks it is....

Caroline jumps up and cheers, looking a lot happier

Dylan opens box 4 and reveals the £100,000

Thank god for that, Noel says...he tells Caroline she played a good game, and he says that he thinks that inside, there was a gambler that was begging to go on, and if only she'd listened, she'd have a life changing sum. Caroline says that she's happy with her money and for her, it's already life changing.
