Angela's game today.

Noel talks about the amazing game with Shanara, where she took a massive sum with the help of a dreadful system! He wonders if todays player will take an attitude to the game just as unusual as Shanara's "wing balance" theory! Let's see the board...



Angela has box 20 today...Noel says she has a great name ; Angela Engel (An-jella En-jell) is a 38-year old hospital cleaner from Yorkshire. Angela talks about her job and says that at first she really hated her job, but she's grown to love it...she says that much like Shanara yesterday, she'd like to do something else, and she would love to move house. Angela has a target and writes it in the book....

We see some pictures of her husband, who died a few years ago. Angela says that it was very shocking for her, and wipes her eyes....we see some pictures of her teenage children, and she confirms she chose Box 20 at random.

You're setting records, says Noel, as it's the first five-figure second offer! Angela wonders why he's giving her such high offers if she's such a 'weak' player and she thinks he's more scared of her than he's claiming he is. Robbie says she's spot on, and he tells her to make it clear that low offers in the later stages won't work!

Now the board has gone from good, to incredible, says Noel. Angela says that she feels lucky, and she has done all day....the banker rings and says that he too feels lucky, and thinks this offer will get her.

Angela says that it is a phenomenal sum of money, and it really would change her life...she doesn't know what to do! Melinda says to think about the charity work she wanted the money for, to campaign awareness for her late husband's illness...Noel asks why Angela didn't mention it, and Angela says that she didn't want to have that hanging over for everyone for the game....she looks at the picture of her husband and says that she'll do exactly what he'd want her to do.

Noel looks at the board and says WOW...Angela thinks that has the £100,000 in Box 20. The banker rings and says that it's curious she's not saying it's £250,000, and he's now more inclined to believe her feelings that it really is her lucky day.

Angela puts her hands over her mouth in shock....Noel says that for the first time, it's not the highest offer at that point, as Ollie was offered £27,500 just a few days ago. Angela says that she thought the loss of the £75,000 would make him stay around the same amount of money, so the £7k increase is astonishing. Noel says that the board is just too strong to stick on....Angela asks for a sweep, the results are

Angela walks over to Gloria and asks 'one more go?'. Gloria says that she would...

Your bravery is incredible, Noel says! She has now proven that she is not the weak player the banker thought, but now she just needs the boxes to go her way....

So it's not in your box after all., says Noel...Angela wants the two remaining blues gone.

Angela puts her head in her hands and cries. There is silence in the studio, and Melinda calls out 'you can still win £50,000!' Angela wipes her eyes and nods in agreement....don't find it now, says Noel, or Robbie will look like an idiot for telling you that you won't!

A blue would have made an okay recovery, says Noel. Angela says that her late husband Kev would no dealt, and so she did it for him....she says it would have been amazing, and Noel tells her thatit's still achievable...the banker rings and disagrees....he says that it's not achievable because Angela will deal this offer.

Angela says it's good money....after turning down £24,500, she's not sure whether to cut her losses or go to the end. Caroline urges her to think about which she will regret more....Angela asks for the question.

Noel says that he and quite a few other people are shocked at the deal - Angela says that she didn't want to be reckless, so she settled with a nice sum of money...she reveals her target of £20,000, and says that it was too hard saying no deal to £24,500 to no deal again. Noel says we must play on and prove it was a good decision.

Noel says he's not sure if the offer will be higher or lower...the banker rings and says that if Angela had continued, he would have been terrified of her taking £20,000 off him with her bravery.

Noel opens box 20 to reveal £500

Billy opens box 12 and reveals the £20,000.

A good ending, says Noel, and he congratulates Angela on £7,000. He tells us that Angela still seems gutted that she turned down £24,500, but he says that it was a very brave thing to do, and it could have quite easily gone her way the next round, and on what she thought was her lucky day, it just turned out that it was the luck that was missing from getting her to the big money.
