Here are 26 facts about the US version of Deal or No Deal, one for each case.
1. Case 7 always seems to have low amounts in it.
2. Same story for Case 1.
3. Case 13 is sometimes unlucky and contains a Power 7 amount.
4. The only 3-figure amount won was the $750 (twice).
5. No one has ever had the $100 in their case.
6. No has ever chosen Case 10 as their own (I think).
7. Case 23 is one of the cases that is chosen most frequently by the contestants as their own. There are at least 3 or 4 other cases that hold this honour as well.
8. The million-dollar case has been brought to the table three times and was not won on all three occasions.
9. The 1¢ club doesn't have a single member in it - yet.
10. The lowest deal ever offered was $2 (rejected).
11. The second lowest deal ever offered was $8. It was accepted, and the guy deserved it because he was an idiot.
12. The lowest amount ever won was $5 (in case), won by another idiot.
13. The highest non-proveout deal offered was $880,000 (rejected).
14. The most won by a contestant thus far is $750,000 (in case).
15. The highest proveout offer ever was $1.6 million.
16. In the show's second season, the deal button was altered. It looks much better than the smaller one from the first season.
17. Case 8 held the million 2 games in a row not too long ago.
18. The only 4-figure amount ever won was the $5,000 (in case).
19. The banker has never asked to speak to the contestants, much unlike his UK counterpart.
20. The banker interacts far less with Howie and the contestants than the UK banker does.
21. Prizes have been offered with cash at least five times in the first two seasons.
22. Howie's daughter once served as a case model on Bring Your Daughter to Work Day. She was holding Case 4, which contained $25,000 (I think).
23. At least 10 amounts on the board have never been won by contestants, most of them in the 1¢ - $10,000 range.
24. A dayime version with a slightly altered format and a different host (Arsenio Hall) will begin taping sometime in the near future.
25. Repeats are sometimes rebroadcast on CNBC.
26. There was once a Case 27 used on the show. Known as "The Banker's Case," it was brought in by one of The Banker's models, and inside was an LED display that revealed a bank offer.
And there you have it. Thoughts?
-Mark.
