And here's how it went!

Jackpot: $4,000,000!!!

Modified right-hand side of the board:

- $1,000
- $5,000
- $10,000
- $25,000
- $50,000
- $75,000
- $100,000
- $250,000
- $500,000
- $750,000
- $1,000,000
- $2,000,000
- $4,000,000

New contestant: Kimberly Chastain!

Fast facts: Kimberly is going to be married soon!

Chosen case: 2!

Round One: Six Cases:

15: $500,000!

23: $1!!

17: $100

20: $100,000

13: $400

22: $10

Banker's offer: $26,000!

NO DEAL

Round Two: Five Cases:

21: $50,000

14: $250,000

10: $25

6: $1,000

19: $2,000,000!!

Banker's offer: $43,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Three: Four Cases:

11: $750,000!!

25: $75

16: $75,000

9: .01¢!!!

Banker's offer: $91,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Four: Three Cases:

8: $200

24: $750

For this last case, Kimberly wants to open the case! As you might remember, last season's contestant, Kassie Bell, also wanted to open the case herself! Also, you'll remember that case was the $5,000,000! Will history repeat itself? Kimberly choose Case 3 and it has...

3: $5,000

(The curse is broken!)

Banker's offer: $176,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Five: Two Cases:

7: $50

1: $500

The Banker has had enough! He wants Kimberly to sell her case to him NOW! He has raised the offer to a number you are not going to believe!

That offer is...

Banker's offer: $701,000!!!!!!!

Now, Kimberly still has the $1,000,000 and the $4,000,000 in play! At this stage of the game, a "NO DEAL!" would mean just one case to open before the next call! But hitting the jackpot case will certainly cause the offers to go way down. But it's an one in a lifetime opportunity.

The questions is: "Deal or No Deal?". Kimberly's answer is:

DEAL!

IN JUST ONE DAY, KIMBERLY HAS SET A NEW AMERICAN "DEAL OR NO DEAL" RECORD!!!!! Kimberly has secured a huge check for $701,000! That will definitely come in handy for a woman preparing for marriage!

But could she had squeezed even more cash out of The Banker's pocket or was this maximum the offers would of reached? It's time to prove her cleverness with the Proveout!

Proveout Round One:

26: $10,000

Oh no! If Kimberly refused the offer she took, she would not be faced with an offer of...

Banker's offer: $973,000!

Proveout Round Two:

18: $25,000

I think you know where the offer would of reached at this stage...

Banker's offer: $1,240,000!

Proveout Round Three:

5: $4,000,000!!!!!

There! Now we know Kimberly was never going to win the jackpot amount! With that out of the way, Howie opens Kimberly choice: 2 and we see that Kimberly sold her case for $701,000 when it had all this time...

2: $1,000,000!!!!!!!!!

FOR THE SECOND GAME IN A ROW, THE CONTESTANT HAD A SEVEN-FIGURE AMOUNT IN THEIR CASE! Kimberly is visibly disappointed but you know, deep inside, she's pleased with the deal she made. I'm sure she will feel really happy when that massive check arrives! :D

To prove it:

4: $5

12: $300

Peak offer: $1,240,000
Case value: $1,000,000
Prize won: $701,000
Result: Outright Banker Win

New game means another $1,000,000 into the jackpot, taking it to...

Jackpot: $5,000,000!!!!!

Altered right-hand side of the board:

- $1,000
- $5,000
- $10,000
- $25,000
- $50,000
- $75,000
- $100,000
- $250,000
- $500,000
- $750,000
- $1,000,000
- $2,500,000
- $5,000,000

New contestant: Jeff Lairta!

Fast facts: Jeff is an High School Football Coach! (Not that that "Football", the American one! :-D)

Chosen case: 25!

Round One: Six Cases:

6: $1!!

14: $400

10: $200

21: $100,000

13: $750

9: $25

Banker's offer: $30,000!

NO DEAL!

Round Two: Five Cases:

THURSDAY!

And there you have it!

Was 9 the one that had 1 cent or $2,000,000? Since you listed two 9s, but no 19.

Thanks again!

Ooops! I have fixed the error. 19 had the $2,000,000 and 9 had the penny!

Thanks! :D

Myself personally, I still consider the biggest amount won in US history as the original $2,522,700 Ken Jennings won in his 75 original games on "Jeopardy!" (He won a $2000 consolation cash prize for finishing in second place in his 75th game).

The extra $500,000 won was from a special tournament and I don't feel it should count.

The global record is actually held by Brad Rutter who beat Jennings in that tournament and won $2,000,000 - taking his total winnings to $3,255,102 (although this includes the value of at least one car he won in another tournament, IIRC - JR will know).

Discounting all tournament wins, the world's biggest game show winner is a Spaniard called Eduardo, who won €2,190,000 on Spanish gameshow Pasapalabra in May. That's the equivalent of $2,763,129 at current exchange rates, and it was courtesy of a near-impossible endgame with a jackpot that rises €6,000 for every time it isn't won... it took over two years for it to become that big!

Anyway. One hell of a game there - and THAT is what would have happened to Casey Bell had she kept $5m to the final six! The Banker is punished for only offering 28% of the mean at deal-of-eight, and that insane jump afterwards just proves how dumb the previous offer was. I'd have offered at least $250,000 and maybe more, and would probably have gone to maybe $600,000 next.
