This is Deal or No Deal, where one case leads to another, and the right case could lead to one million dollars.

Battling against the Banker tonight is David Leeman, a self-proclaimed normal guy. He works as a historic mason restoring antique stone structures, and is married with three children. One of his kids is even named Mason. I see what you did there, bahd.

If he’s lucky enough to win the million, David wants to give his wife the dream wedding she deserves. The two eloped 18 years ago, and never had a proper wedding. David picks case number 4 in honour of Brett Favre, and we kick things off.

Round 1
[12] - $25,000
[10] - $200,000
[24] - $500,000
[16] - $5,000
[2] - $5
[6] - $400

David is sweating profusely, and he’s only just completed the first round. The Banker is looking at David, and the first word that comes to her mind is “goofball.” The first offer is:

BANKER'S OFFER

$14,000

David says NO DEAL.

Round 2
David says his prominent beard is important to him, as his wife likes it. “Why are we talking about hair?” our bald host inquires. “Hair today, gone tomorrow.”
[1] - $50

Howie notices David is getting somewhat emotional. He offers him a tissue and a towel and throws to our first break.

We’re back to complete the second round.

[11] - $300
[14] - $1
[25] - $100
[18] - $75

“Nailed it, nailed it, nailed it!” exclaims David. He really did. The Banker says David is a loveable goofball and she offers...

BANKER'S OFFER

$48,000

David’s wife mentions that his wife lost her engagement ring, and that money would help to replace it. She says that David has numbers on his side, and he says NO DEAL.

Round 3
[17] - $50,000
[21] - $400,000
[5] - $100,000

David picks case 19 next, but Howie calls a break.

We’re back to open case 19.

[19] - $.01

Great time to get the penny off the board. David thinks the next offer will increase, but Howie says it did not.

BANKER'S OFFER

$30,000

David says NO DEAL.

Round 4
Howie gets David’s friend John, who would have been his best man, to read a card that says that he’s won a new engagement ring for his wife. “She said DEAL!” yells David after she puts it on her finger, and we play on.

[15] - $75,000
[7] - $750
[8] - $1,000

Another great round for our Hawaiian-shirted contestant, and he’ll get his next bank offer after the break.

We’re back, and it’s Banker time once again. She says David is an astute loveable goofball. The new offer is...

BANKER'S OFFER

$117,000

David says that amount would get him and his wife a dream wedding and a honeymoon. However, he says NO DEAL.

Round 5
[20] - $1,000,000
[22] - $10

Before announcing the next offer, Howie tells David that the Banker is offering him a challenge. To add an extra $10,000 to the next offer, David must cut off his beard.

“Beard or No Beard?” asks Howie.

After some hesitation, David says NO BEARD. He begins to cut it off, and we cut to our next break.

Welcome back to what has become a hairy situation for our contestant. David returns from a visit with Howie’s hair person completely clean-shaven. Everyone is surprised, especially his daughter, who has never seen him without his trademark beard before.

The ten grand is guaranteed, and the offer is...

BANKER'S OFFER

$83,000

Howie reminds David about the counter offer. David decides to counter, and he offers...

BANKER'S OFFER

$100,000

The Banker will give her answer... after the break.

Counter offer at 52 minutes past. The Banker's dealing!

Very cautious to use his counter offer so early with a safety net still in play. Hopefully he doesn't have BIG regrets....... ;)

We’re back. Before the break, the Banker pitched an offer of $83,000 to David, and he countered with $100,000.

Howie takes another call from the Banker, and she says DEAL.

So, $110,000 is secured, but was that the right decision? There’s only one way to find out.

Proveout

Round 6
[9] - $25

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

$162,000

Round 7
[23] - $10,000

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

$250,000

Round 8
[3] - $500

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

$405,000

Round 9
[13] - $750,000

Whoops. David left nearly four times the value of his deal on the table. Methinks he made a mistake. Howie confirms this by revealing $300,000 in case 4. The other remaining case, number 26, held $200.

Our first bad deal of the series. But hey, all is not lost. With the beard bonus and the new engagement ring for his wife, David is taking home a grand total of $110,000, and that’s not too bad. That should get him a decent enough wedding.

That’s it for this week’s dealings. Until next time, good night and good deals.

Definitely should've saved the counter offer for at least another round. You don't have much leverage after losing the jackpot, and David had a 2 in 3 shot of sending the offer way up with no instant disaster dcenario. Definitely a cautious decision there, but hey, hard to complain too much when someone wins over $100,000 on a game show, and this definitely beats Luis's game by a country mile. :D

The banker pulled off the same beard gimmick thrice in Brad Falcon's game in 2008.
