Okay, before I begin, you'll notice that the headline of this thread reads *** HISTORIC MOMENT WARNING! *** instead of
*** SPOILER WARNING! *** There is a reason for this, which I will now explain to you. The Canadian viewers of DoND USA saw a different episode of DoND than the US viewers did. I think this is the first time in the show's history that this has happened. This thread will provide recaps of both episodes. So basically, you get two recaps for the price of one in this thread. Not bad a bad deal, eh? Oh, and if it helps, neither show featured a Million-Dollar Mission game.

First, here's what happened on the US episode.

Contestant: Edward Tommassi
Chosen Case: 7 (:? Uh-oh...)
Fun Facts: During his game, Edward was offered $5 by the Banker to put on high heels and a dress identical to the ones that the models were wearing. Guess what? He actually did it.

Round 1 - 6 to open
Briefcases 3 ($50,000), 6 ($500), 13 ($50), 23 ($10,000), 26 ($25), and 16 ($100,000) eliminated. Banker offers $94,000; NO DEAL.

Round 2 - 5 to open
Briefcases 9 ($200), 19 ($1), 18 ($75,000), 11 ($75), and 10 ($.01) eliminated. Banker offers $130,000; NO DEAL.

Round 3 - 4 to open
Briefcases 4 ($400,000), 2 ($1,000,000), 8 ($1,000), and 14 ($400) eliminated. Banker offers $100,000; NO DEAL

Round 4 - 3 to open
Briefcases 20 ($300), 5 ($100), and 21 ($750,000) eliminated. Banker offers $88,000; NO DEAL.

Round 5 - 2 to open
Briefcases 24 ($200,000) and 12 ($10) eliminated. Banker offers $107,000; NO DEAL.

Round 6 - 1 to open
Briefcase 15 ($750) eliminated. Banker offers $131,000; DEAL.

Final Winnings: $131,000 (plus $5 for the accepting the Banker's dare to dress in drag)

Proveouts
Round 7 - 1 to open
Briefcase 17 ($25,000) eliminated. Banker offers $221,000.

Round 8 - 1 to open
Briefcase 22 ($500,000) eliminated. Banker offers $112,000.

Round 9 - 1 to open
Briefcase 1 ($300,000) eliminated.

Contestant’s briefcase opened; briefcase contains $5.
Unopened Briefcase: 25 ($5,000)

Result: TPW

Mark's Commentary: Wow, someone who chose Case 7, which is usually a GLAC, played quite well. Thank heavens he didn't go all the way. A nicely-earned TPW. Why he decided to wear heels and a revealing dress is anybody's guess, but hey, I guess there are some people out there who are both fearless and will do anything for money.

This game's recap information was courtesy of Jordan's DoND Recaps Site @ http://heelsrule1988.tripod.com/dealornodeal/index.htm .

And now, here's the recap of what the Canadian viewers saw.

Contestant: Anabel Gamez
Chosen Case: 11
Fun Facts: Anabel has a twin sister, Isabel, and is afraid of cats. She wants to use her winnings to help her father retire from his job and get a boob job. No, I am not making this up. As Howie said, "TMI!" My thoughts exactly.

Round 1 - 6 to open
14 - $25,000
5 - $75,000
17 - $1
15 - $300,000
19 - $500
23 - $300
Offer 1: $42,000 (NO DEAL)

Round 2 - 5 to open
6 - $750
25 - $1,000,000
7 - $500,000
13 - $400,000
8 - $5
Offer 2: $26,000 (NO DEAL)

Round 3 - 4 to open
10 - $75
3 - $100,000
18 - $10,000
22 - $50,000
Before the Banker gives his offer, he sends out his cat, Bella, to intimidate Anabel. Man, that was one ticked-off cat.
Offer 3: $39,000 (NO DEAL, and away goes the cat)

Round 4 - 3 to open
2 - $10
4 - $50
16 - $200
Offer 4: $77,000 (NO DEAL)

Round 5 - 2 to open
12 - $100
9 - $200,000
Before the offer is given, the Banker sends out a Mariachi band that serenades Anabel with an insulting song about her Mexican heritage.
Offer 5: $99,000 (DEAL)

Final Winnings: $99,000

Proveouts
Round 6 - 1 to open
1 - $400; Banker offers $136,000.

Round 7 - 1 to open
26 - $1,000; Banker offers $204,000.

Round 8 - 1 to open
24 - $25; Banker offers $269,000.

Round 9 - 1 to open
20 - $750,000

Contestant's briefcase opened; briefcase contains $.01.
Unopened Briefcase: 21 - $5,000

Result: TBW

Mark's Commentary: She went a few deals too soon. I would have played on and stopped at $269,000, as the odds of eliminating the smaller amounts were pretty good, even on a Banker's board. On the bright side, Anabel now has enough money for a boob job, and she avoided entry into the 1 Cent Club.

This game moved pretty fast, so there was time to bring out a second contestant.

Contestant: Larren Colum
Chosen Case: 9

Round 1 - 6 to open
26 - $300,000
21 - $.01
23 - $500,000
22 - $750
20 - $10,000
18 - $1
Offer 1: $42,000 (NO DEAL)

Round 2 - 5 to open
2 - $50
14 - $25,000
At this point, Larren takes out his red sweat towel to mop his forehead. The "sweat towel", once unfolded, turns out to be Larren's pair of lucky red boxer shorts  ! "Don't worry, they're clean!" he says.
24 - $5,000
12 - $10
8 - $400
Offer 2 - $86,000 (NO DEAL)

Round 3 - 4 to open
6 - $100
11 - $500
4 - $1,000
15 - $75,000
Offer 3: $149,000
We'll find out if Larren takes the deal next time, whenever that is.

Mark's Commentary: Larren is a funny guy, and I hope he wins big. The way things are going, he could wind up winning a nice chunk of change. His game will pick up from where it left off next time, with a $149,000 bank offer on the table.

This game's recap info courtesy of yours truly, for a change ;) .

And there you have it. An historic moment in the history of DoND USA recaps. Hope you enjoyed it. Now, I wonder why the US and Canada showed different episodes of DoND. There must be some reaosn for it. What do you guys think?

I should also mention that before Larren's game began, the Banker called, and he ejected Hayley, the model with the huge afro who holds Case 25 from the game. This was because Larren and his family love her, and the Banker wanted to take away their "good luck charm." A stone-faced Banker Babe - I believe her name is Krissy - took Hayley's spot while Hayley went up to the Banker's skybox above the stage. Apparently, the Banker's plan didn't work, as Larren was playing very well and having some very good luck with his case selections.

Anyway, I like the recap and the guy who wears a woman's dress was a good sport and he enjoys it. He made a good deal by the way. Larren was strong and she performed good in opening cases with low amounts.

I sure as heck hope it isn't that the mention of boob jobs wasn't the reason the US episode got left unaired...

...oh wait. This is a country where Mike Huckabee can be a serious politician. It probably is.

I'd have either taken the same deals the players did or gone one round more. And I wouldn't have dressed in drag for $5, I'd have said 'I won't need $5 once I've won a million' or something.
