I think the 301-400 era was the best. The end of the year months provided many different kinds of games for DoND, and just that time of year made a programme to really snuggle down to. The tension of the £250 000 was very gripping; you wouldn't want to miss it coming to the table after the famine. The main thing though was the incredibly broad range of characters and games; the games were entertaining but not too silly, and we were seeing so many different kinds of players. The Christmas games were great, Claudine's game obviously being the highlight.
New Year was the only time I have looked at the lineup and though "we have the perfect lineup" with great characters like Nicola, Gabrielle, VENTRESS, Elton etc. Laura winning the £250 000 was another highlight, as was Stella's game. And February was great too. But it was Christmas/New Year that made this one so special for me...

201 - 300 for me, it's the ear that most of my favourtie contestants come from (i just wish you could include Ron's game in that lot!)

101-200 for me.

They're the first games I saw and understood. Nick's 1p win was the first game I ever did see though. Shame I couldn't understand it at all!

I didn't really properly get into DOND and enjoy it the way I do now until about March 2006, and whilst I've seen all the episodes (bar a few) since day 1, the ones from pre-March 06 are a bit of a blur mostly. Almost all the ones from June 2006 are vivid in my mind, but I think the best block of 100 shows is probably the 201 - 300 block, as there were some excellent contestants there along with some good games. Shows 101 - 200 would be in second place as it contained some excellent contestants and shows, with 301 - 400 in third, 401 - 500 in fourth and 1 - 100 in fifth, simply because I can remember very few from the 1 - 100 era.
