The £250 000 didn't come to the table for a period of 117 games between Debbie (17/5/06) and Ingerlise (3/12/06). We haven't seen it come now for 63 games, last brought by Kelsie (26/3/07).
By this time in the last gap, Noel would surely have been ranting on. So will we see another famine like we saw last year? Will it ever come? Sometimes these odds seem hard to believe actually. The odds of a particular amount coming to the table at least once in 100 games is about 99%. Surely it must come soon?

More to the point, if and when it ever does come to the table will we ever again see anyone brave enough to get to the point of openiing it?

God I hope so.

I reckon it will come pretty soon. That's not a spoiler, by the way.

Probably only if the Banker gets it wrong again like he did with Laura... it takes incredible bravery just to get to a final pair with it in play. If the other box is a blue or "honorary blue" then it's hard to imagine many would risk £70-80k on that and risk leaving with effectively nothing!

Some might say there's "nothing to lose" if they ended up with £250k and £100k at the end, but even then would they bet £75k on basically the toss of a coin, especially now there's no longer the honour of being the "first" either?

I was thinking about this the other day and how incredibly difficult it'd be for me to decide what I'd do if I was faced with that board and had a £170k / £175k offer - as it's effectively gambling £75k on the flip of a coin! I think I'd rather deal at £175k and find £250k in my box than no deal and win £100k as £175k is so much more than £100k!

I'd be completely the opposite. I'd regret it more if I dealt and the £250k was in the box I opened. I'd be more than delighted with £100k. If I was lucky enough to have a £100k/£250k end, I'd be going for the confetti!

And oddly, I'd be more likely to go for it now than pre-Laura - because I'd have feared a media firestorm if I was 'the first', but wouldn't now, especially as I don't think Laura had a massive number of frantic interviews in the second week of January either!

Though in reality I'd take any 'coinflip offer' on the mean.

I'd go for the 250k with a 20k back up purely as I would regret it more if the 250k was there and I didn't go for it.

Well i'd no deal regardless with 250k in the final two if my fall back was 35k miniumum possibly 20k if the offer wasn't enough.

Laura did well to get to the final 2 but how people can deny 45k was not a blatently low offer to make her go on is insane if it had been a more realistic offer with that pair we would still be waiting for the 250k winner today.

They shouldn't have done that It would have happened eventually Morris and Kirsty proved this by trying and gambling 6 figure K money.

I suspect it will come again soon but probably Not be opened IN play.
