If you were giving the choice to Swap the box you choosed at random for one of your lucky numbers would swap or keep the box you choose?

I have always wondered this as well!

I think it would depend on the kind of game I'd had; if it was bad luck right to the end and I were left with, say, 2 blues, with my lucky number still on the wings, I'd probably keep the box I started with.

If I were left with a huge climax finish, £100 v £100,000 for example, with my lucky number still on the wings, I'd be really stuck as to what to do, because I'd be so scared of giving away the big number by swapping, but wouldn't feel as though I'd stuck to my guns by not swapping. what would you do?

Never ever swap the box You will feel so much more pain if you gave away the big money than if you never had it at all.

It would depend on the values left/box numbers left.

I'd nearly always swap on an all-blue last pair if I didn't get offered an amusing sum to deal at just for the fun of it, or possibly on a high blue/low red or two similar reds, but never on a blue/power 5 pair.

I'd have swapped in both Lionel's and Karen's games last week and they'd have evened themselves out! :)

A colour cluster may come into mind for this.

I'd only feel the necessary for a swap with £15,000+ as part of the equation. Say I had £50,000 and £3,000 left. I had box 10, and the other was Box 2. I'd record where the reds and blues are, like this:

1: £250,000
2: -
3: £35,000
4: £750
5: £15,000
6: 10p
7: £1
8: £250
9: £50
10: -
11: £5,000
12: £5

I'd stik with my selection here, with all the blues surrounding my box, whereas, Box 2 has the £250k, £35k and £15k surrounding it. Not to say that Box 2 has to have £3,000, but that's how I look at it

I'd never ever swap and I've always said I'd never swap - because I'd be kicking myself if I swapped and gave away big money which had been sitting in my chair all along! The box you have is the one you chose at random and you could say 'that is the one you are meant to have - it is your box' so I would never swap.

I'm always torn as to what I would do. The only time i would swap is if it is a first offer swap. I wouldn't swap at two-box, but even with the first offer swap, I would not know whether to go against the box I was meant to have.

I WOULD like to swap. There's reasons why I would ask for a swap...I cannot tell you now, but it's my decision. It's what I want. My fingers...

It depends what box number I got sat in the chair. If I didn't like it, then I would probably swap at the end. Having said that, I would prefer not to swap because it is heartrenching seeing people swap away large amounts of money! :?

Box numbers as a rule mean nothing to me and I don't have things like lucky numbers or superstitions either.

I just treat each game as completely random box openings and so would generally never swap. Having said that I sometimes get a 'feeling' for a box so would possibly swap then if I was feeling really confident.

I would swap if I prefer the remaining box number over my box number.

I would never want to swap even in the latter stages of the game as it can be potentially very fatal. It's a big risk in my opinion - one that I wouldn't want to take.

I'd always swap as I see it as simply the equivalent of picking your own box rather than having one assigned to you. I'd take an opening swap and an endgame swap but I wouldn't swap back if both occurred, PJ style!

I'd never swap, for exactly that reason, though of course there's no statistical advantage either way.

The only time I might consider it was if I'd had a really crap game and had two low amounts left at the end, and just thought "why not?" Although the Banker often doesn't bother to offer it in that situation unless the 1p is involved.

The only real thing I have against swapping is that I see it as if you swap the higher amount for the lower amounts, the amount you've lost is the difference between the two boxes. Whereas if you don't swap and win the lower amount, I see the "loss" as being only the difference between the offer and the lower value box. When a Power 5 is nvloved the difference becomes monstrous!

So I consider that Swappy Barbara actually lost £99k, whereas if she hadn't swapped and only had the £1k all along, I'd think she only lost £21k!

(If that makes sense)!

Yeah I think exactly the same, which is why I would never swap unless I didn't really care between the two amounts. Although I might swap if every time I had the...I had blue, I had blue, I had blue. Or if another box was in my mind, in my mind, in my mind...and my kids...my kids...

Would always swap for box number 8, but never for any other number.
