However, I have a recollection of someone being thrown off the show in the early days (I think it was within the first couple of months) for box tampering, ie. trying to cheat.

Wasn't there someone called Charles... or was it Clive? (began with C, I think) was 'ill' one show and never returned. I might just be making this up, mind you...

Clive and another woman too...Joyce I *think* her name was...

So far, there have been three players who left without playing their games. Clive (6 appearances in December 2005), Audrey (2 appearances in March 2006) and CJ (8 appearances in September/October 2007). I don't think there have been any others.

Has anybody seen any concrete evidence as to why any of these three people leaft early? Because otherwise, I'm not sure it's a good idea to publicly indulge in wild speculation...

I'm certain 2 of them were ill or so it was said on the show... but the truth could be anything...

I wish I knew where this niggling feeling that someone was kicked off the show in its early days comes from!

She was there one day and gone the next.......never to be seen again. Don't think Noel even mentioned the fact she wasn't there on the first day she wasn't (though I might be wrong about that).

I'm sure I downloaded a spreadsheet of all the games and all the winnings and one of the shows was played, but not shown due to a family death or something.

Yeah, instead of Amanda's game in November 2006, a repeat of Kirsty's game from April 2006 was broadcast, due to a death. The spreadsheet shows how much she won though.

I was in the audience for two of CJ's shows, all seemed well at the time and she seemed as much a part of the group as anybody else, so I was surprised when I heard she had been booted. C'mon......... someone here must know what happened, tell us please.

I think a few of the contestants who were around at the time gave some details, as much as they were able to. Doubt any of them are still reading the forum, but if you search for her "fan club" thread you might find some info.

CJ was on near the beginning of season 3. Her first game was 100k Maria's.
