...a player refused to complete their game?

The way Lynn's game went last week got me thinking about this, imagine a player's game falls apart horribly after they turned down significant money, they are left with next to nothing and are so upset about it that they just walk out of the studio rather than finishing off the game. I wouldn't be surprised if people have done that, outside the edited version of the programme, but the other contestants/production team have persuaded them to come back. But there's always a chance one day they won't be able to persuade the player to return.

On the other hand if it was an early deal scenario, something like Donna's game before Christmas, would they still get the money they had dealt for if something like that happened? And in either case, would we see the game broadcast on TV at all? :?

Like you said I would imagine the production team and contestants would persuade them to come back. Contestants may have gone off/walked off set but if they have invested 20+ shows waiting its not a decision to be taken lightly.

I read somewhere that each show takes about 2hr to shoot so there is always an awful lot of stuff cut out and for sure we only saw bits of poor Lynn's 'breakdown'. Editing will hide a multitude of sins.

I would have walked off set in PJ's game and not come back until I got an offer. And I mean not come back.

Ultimately, they can, of course dump the show if anyone walks off and refuses to come back. They can bring all subsequent games one day forward.

I was going to say 'but you'd have just said No Deal anyway' until I remembered that 1p/big red is a scenario where you're open to negotiation...

Does anyone else remember Helen who started shouting "I'm not going!" when her name was called? I watched the last 10 minutes of her game again on youtube the other day. She was awesome.

Yes, she played in November and generated some mixed reaction on the forum. Some found her funny, some didn't... I'm afraid didn't! :?
