NEWSLASH

MM is not a morning person and showed real signs of distress as the after effects of yesterday's 19 pints were introduced to GG's collection of Club Anthems.

The words " Please Lord let me die now " were heard from the man slumped across the back seat of the WorLassMobile as the dynamic duo pulled into The Dirty Sporran Real Ale Pub shortly before noon.

More follows.........

Ha ha!

In all seriousness, and all joking aside, I did indeed have the opportunity to meet Geordie once yesterday, and again this morning. He's a very busy guy what with the Highland Games coming up in a couple of months and has a lot of work commitments. I'm really chuffed he took the time to take time out from his busy schedule and meet with me. I can't tell you what was discussed as I mostly can't remember (nothing at all to do with beer though, honest!) but he really is a great friendly guy. I hope he enjoyed meeting me, as I really enjoyed the chance to meet him. One favourite DOND player down, just one to go... :-D

As Gerry said himself though, he can't possibly hope to compete with Lucy as she can sleep with me! I loved that one-liner!

I'll be up here in the Highlands for the next couple of weeks within easy reach of Inverness, so who knows what will happen in the coming weeks. Internet cafes permitting, I'll try and keep in touch with what he is writing about me and make sure nothing too outrageous gets printed!

I've got a pic of me and Gerry on the digital camera as proof, so might post it somewhere when and if I get home if Kestral will indulge us!

Best wishes to all DOND forum members from the Internet Cafe at Inverness Tourist Information Office, and cheers to Geordie for entertaining me these past two days. No matter what anyone else might say, he's a top bloke, and I really appreciate him taking the time out for me. It's been a blast!

I was in Inverness yesterday, albeit at the airport, on my way up to Orkney. Left Bristol in pouring rain and arrived in Inverness in beautiful warm sunshine.

I've lived at Dingwall, Invergordon and Strathpeffer in the past and can assure you its a really beautiful area. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay.

Just don't wander down to the shore of Loch Ness on your own .............

Me(n)tal Micky is officially a hard drinking, DOND loving, kilt wearing, very very very very hot curry eating, disco loving, down hill sking, Loch Ness Weeing (dont ask but Nessie is warmer now) Legend!

Anyone taking this bundle of fun out should wear an oxygen tank on their back.

Geordie

PS Micky and I saw all the yellow ribbons tied all over the beautiful village of Ullapool yesterday for poor wee Maddy.

There were photographs every where and on every table in Dirty Mulla's Screaming Hot Ass Burning Curry Shop and Fishing Net Repairers Cafe.

It turns out her Auntie lives in Ullapool.

Sunday in the Highlands and Mental M has turned his back on haggis, neeps and tatties and gone totally ethnic on me.

Not only is he now wearing a kilt but he is slumped across the seats at the back of my local recovering from his first taste of deep fried Mars Bars and Chips - a real Scottish delicacy.

As soon as he stops blowing chunks of Mars Bar all over the wall and pulls the hem of his Clan McMicky kilt down .......I will ask him how he can cough up his liver and still be alive........

Mental Mickey would like to apologise for falling off the table in Ullapool and destroying 3 chairs and a pot plant called Norman.

He has no idea why he thought he could do a Highland Fling on a slippy glass filled table or why he imagined he could drink 3 whole pints of Hairy Highlander Real Ale without something happening to hurt him physically.

He is now wearing a "Geordie Gerry told me not to do it" T Shirt which does not match his brand new pair of plus fours

Dingwall, done that. Strathpeffer - went through there. Orkney's - done that as well - via John o'Groats. Currently back in Ullapool, where the Geordie world tour began. The Madeline industry is indeed in full swing over here - pictures and ribbons are everywhere. Should be back in Inverness over the weekend all being well. Missed so many episodes of DOND over the last week as to be unreal - I'll have a lot of catching up to do in the coming weeks and months!

I'll be redoing my forum signature as soon as I get the chance. Several ideas are already forming...

Wow. You've done the grand tour! Did you get over to Hoy whilst you were in Orkney? I had the beers and whisky waiting! Just have to drink it all myself now  You must have come across to Orkney on the Pentland Venture - interesting trip in rough seas if you've had a pint or 2 hehe.

Sounds like you're having a great time, but don't forget the whisky tour. Personally I never tire of visiting distilleries ................
