I've been posed a question as to which board I'd prefer. I'd like to know which one you would prefer, if given the choice:

Board 1:
0.01
0.1
0.5
1
5
10
50
250000

Board 2:
0.01
0.1
0.5
1
5
35000
50000
75000

I'd like you to choose a board, before reading and answering the questions below, and then to post your choice and responses.

I'm going to provide results for everyone next weekend, with a statistical average, and be honest, as you'll find it more interesting. :)

First of all, with 2 boxes left, how much is the minimum you would deal for with a blue and 250000.

And also for...

a blue and 75000,

a blue and 50000,

a blue and 35000.

And also, how much would you deal on a board of...

35000 and 75000,

35000 and 50000,

50000 and 75000.

Check back later, you may be surprised at the results. :P :D

Board two is slightly more stable with a better fall-back, so I'd take my chances on having three of the lower power five and five blues rather than an all-or-nothing £250K and seven low blues.

On a final two of a blue and £250K, I'd take a deal at anything above £20K. I'd be really upset to get such a low deal (and I don't think the banker could ever be that mean!), but I wouldn't gamble decent five figure sums away on what is essentially the toss of a coin and risk winning a blue. If I didn't need the money, then sure, I'd no deal a bit higher, but even so, anything above £50K would be a cast-iron deal in my book.

For final two of a blue and 75000 I'd deal at anything over £10K, ditto a blue and £50K, and slightly less (about £7500) on a blue/£35k final two.

If I had 35000 and 75000 my middle name would become Wakey and I''d no deal anything, ditto both of the other scenarios - 35K/50K and 50K/75K are as near as makes no difference worth the gamble, unless I was offered something completely ridiculous like £74,999. You'd have to go on, wouldn't you? The gap between any of these reds isn't that much, and to go away with "only" £35K has to be worth a punt, surely?

Board choice: I think I'd prefer the £35k/£50k/£75k board (certainly if the offers were the same on the two boards) as I'd feel much more comfortable no-dealing in that situation!

Blue/£250k: I'd probably reluctantly deal £35k. Below that I'd like to think I'd go for it.

Blue/£75k: I'd probably take £20k or above.
Blue/£50k: I'd probably take £15k or above.
Blue/£35k: I'd probably take £12k or above.

The three all-power 5 final pairs, I'd only deal an offer above the mean.

I would choose Board 1 £250,000 still in play and lots of blues to aim for.

Minimum Deals :

blue/£250,000 - £100,000
blue/£ 75,000 - £30,000
blue/£ 50,000 - £20,000
blue/£ 35,000 - £15,000

£35,000/£75,000 - No Deal to anything
£35,000/£50,000 - No Deal to anything
£50,000/£75,000 - No Deal to anything

In all of the last 3 the fallback is decent and I would be happy to gamble on any offer.

Board 2 for me as there are some nice backups if it went wrong!

First of all, with 2 boxes left, how much is the minimum you would deal for with a blue and £250,000?

£20,000.

Blue and £75,000.

£15,000.

Blue and £50,000.

£10,000.

Blue and £35,000.

£8,000-ish.

It depends what the blue is though. If it was 1p, I may deal at quite a low amount, for example, I'd have dealt Fadil's £7,200. If the blue was worth having, then I may no deal a higher amount (£10,000 or a little higher on a 1p vs £35k board, for example) as I'd like to go away with something worth having.

How much would you deal on a board of £35,000 and £75,000?

Anything on the mean or over - so £55,000.

How much would you deal on a board of £35,000 and £50,000?

Anything on the mean or over - so about £42,000.

How much would you deal on a board of £50,000 and £75,000?

Anything on the mean or over - so about £62,000.

I'd probably happily no deal pretty much anything on those three Power 5 pairings, but I'd find it very difficult to turn down the offer if it was above the mean as it makes sense to deal an above mean offer on such a board, so I'd deal any above mean offer there.

Thats a good point. If the blue was a 1p on any of the combinations I would deal on any offer provided it wasn't insulting.

I'm surprised so many people view the 1p in that way, I'd rather have the honour of joining the 1p club than win one of the other low blues!

I would choose Board 2 because all of those three 'all' power 5 finishes below are possible.

Minimum Deals:

blue/£250,000 - £60,000
blue/£ 75,000 - £25,000
blue/£ 50,000 - £20,000
blue/£ 35,000 - £15,000

£35,000/£75,000 - No Deal to anything
£35,000/£50,000 - No Deal to anything
£50,000/£75,000 - No Deal to anything

In those three above, I couldn't give a *beep* if I turned down the offer and won the lowest sum there.

I'm a gambler, so I'd go for Board 1.

Blue / £250,000

Pushing it, £60,000.

Blue / £75,000

£20,000.

Blue / £50,000

£15-16,000

Blue / £35,000

£14,000

£35,000 / £75,000,
£50,000 / £75,000,
£35,000 / £50,000.

No offer would force me to go. It's a no-lose situation. £35,000/£50,000 is a huge sum of money, and I wouldn't feel bad if I took home the lowest amount left.

I'd prefer Board 2 to Board 1, I hate one-box games!

Blue/250k - deal anything over 40k
Blue/75k - deal anything over 20k
Blue/50k - deal anything over 15k
Blue/35k - deal anything over 10k

They aren't all automatic BTW, anything close to those figures would have me in a right quandary!

On the all power-5 last pairs, I would automatically no-deal anything short of the mean, and deal anything above. If it was exactly the mean, I'd probably toss a coin to decide! :)

I'd go for Board 2.

Blue/£250k - I'd probably reluctantly take anything above £30k.

Blue/£75k - About £17/18k.

Blue/£50k - £12k perhaps.

Blue/£35k - £10k.

£35k/£75k - £50k.

£35k/£50k - £42k.

£50k/£75k - £62k.

First of all, I would prefer board 2

First of all, with 2 boxes left, how much is the minimum you would deal for with a blue and £250 000?
If the offer was anything below £75 000 I would no deal.

Blue and £75 000
If the offer was anything below £25 000 I would no deal.

Blue and £50 000
If the offer was anything below £20 000 I would no deal.

Blue and £35 000
If the offer was anything below £16 000 I would no deal.

How much would you deal on a board of £35,000 and £75,000?
The offer would have to be at least £55 000 for me to deal. And I doubt it would be over anyway cause that's the average!

How much would you deal on a board of £35,000 and £50,000?
I would carry on regardless.

How much would you deal on a board of £50,000 and £75,000?
Again, I would never deal

:-D Honest truth.
