The swap offer was good for a one off. But the extra money was inappropriate and I think it dramatically weakened the Banker's character. Back to my theory on the Banker's identity (see spoiler's section), would a man who really couldn't afford to give away money offer someone £15 000 out of sympathy? No way. This was more of a happy ending and what people want to see on a Sunday night television. This has made me question even more who the Banker is...

I think "It's good having twists, just not too often" So I went for No but I hope Endemol realise they are ruining the show.

It was disgusting

The Happy ending sucked

The pain in the faces of all 22 contestants

Been there - stood there - really did not like that

The Happy Ending did not make up for the horror

Methinks a line was crossed today

Er, if the Banker couldn't afford to give money away, then why does he do it everyday? :?

He doesn't. Endemol do, and their vaults are full of green.

I think it was an unusual twist and it made an interesting show, but only because he got the £15,000. I'd never want a game where just a swap is offered and they win peanuts and that's it.

What I meant to say was, a man who wants to give as little money as possible. If the 'Banker' really was like this, why give PJ an extra £15 000. I think that proves the 'Banker' is a bit of a sham...

My attitude towards the show changed for the worse in February, particularly after Richard's game where the banker offered £5k for Andrew. It was around this period that Noel's guilt trips started to get really bad and the blue chanting started to get ridiculous - by Nigel's game, when Noel was acting like a baby after Steven's game, I found myself not liking the show much. It also wasn't helped by the lack of characters on the wings.

The show picked up again in April, and so did my attitude towards it - Noel seems to be getting better with his guilt trips, the blue chants are fading away and there are more characters on the wings, although after last week's comment by Noel of "You've blown it BIG TIME!" in Paul M's game, and today's banker tactics, I think the show is starting to go wrong again! :?

I'm not really surprised any more as this is Endemol and they also produce Big Brother - so the introduction of quite frankly cruel psychological tactics, as well as changes in the format of the game - do not surprise me any more.

What are you on about? They are having an absolute ball! It's not a prison camp - it's a glorious lucky opportunity and they love being there - I've seen millions of them say it's been the time of their life.
Today's show was the BEST GAME EVER!!! Perfect end too!

While the twists and turns make it exciting, I feel today's game was far too over the top, and the gimmicks today ruined it. I'm going to keep watching, as I like the current line up. However, if these gimmicks continue, I don't know how long I'll keep watching for.

Endemol have been throwing everything at the show - character assassinations of conservative players, rabid extroverts like Bunney, utterly bizarre Banker offers which then leant towards generosity such that only someone under the spell of Noel could turn them down, picking contestants with precisely that weakness, selective memory of Noel to further that, blue chants, the prospect of US-style neon lighting for season 3, and I'm missing a lot there.

The game worked in itself; now it is fading away, and it was barely there at all today. I didn't see it, but watched an episode of the Dutch original instead, and I must say I genuinely enjoyed it - that was a very good proper game with the twists and turns of the actual game and the way the contestant reacted to them providing quite enough entertainment.

The next episode I'm going to watch? The Dutch show next week.
