Hummmm, did you hear Noel at the start of James's game yesterday, he went along counting how many games everyone had done. He pretty much indicated if under 15 then it was hardly likely to be them! so why did they blooming well pick me after just 11.

:smt013 :smt011 :smt019 :smt013 Think I better drop my signature from now!!!

They really shouldn't pick them so early...I know it'd be boring if every single contestant ever did 21 shows, but about 14 and under is pushing it and it seems a real shame when contestants, especially ones that are popular on both the forums and at the hotel, play as early as that.

Oh, by the way, I did your wing pictures, they're at http://www.dond.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=287319 !

Mathematically impossible as well, unless the 22nd contestant stayed there for ever! :D

We'll probably never know Jeannie, but it wasn't fair on you or us viewers. I know there has to be some variation to keep the element of surprise but 11 was ridiculous. They should realise that getting to know the players is one of the main attractions of the show.

I did 11 shows and to be honest I would rather that than be on for 50 like poor Lucy was. :D

At the end of the day we got our chance - it is a random game and they have to have a few surprises.

Pam

Calm down dear!

Maybe they wanted you to play early because if you played the next day you would have 1p in your box?

I actually think Pam has a much better attitude than you, Jeannie. I think it's unfair people are chosen so early as well, but at least you got to go on, right? There are people who would do anything to get on one show, let alone 12...

I know exactly what you mean, but in my case I had really needed to get away and forget the reality of life for a while. Not long before going to Bristol, I had just found out I have a serious eye disease and may need an operation to save my sight. Being in Bristol and doing the show helped me so much to switch off. I was told I could be there up to 3 weeks, but with only being there for 4 days when I was chosen, I immediately started thinking about what I would have to face on my return and during my whole show couldn't stop thinking about it. Sorry to some if I sound ungrateful, I am extremely thankful at being chosen at all and for my win, but anyone who has been there will tell you the whole thing is like being in another world, a world in which I really needed to hide in for just a little longer.

That's perfectly understandable, Jeannie. After receiving news like that, I'm not surprised you needed to get away from everything.

Still, at least you were on the show in the first place, and I'm sure the money's quite nice as well!

It's horrible when people are picked after so few shows, but I suppose they all have to play sometime.

Jeannie, all the best for the future, I hope everything goes OK.
