I am really enjoying Noel's new introduction going over to the wings and getting to know individual contestants more. I am really loving the way we are learning about all the different characters, and I personally think it is a fantastic change that has made the show a lot better. How does everyone else feel about it?

Its an excellent idea and my 'wise after the event' thought is 'why it wasn't done ages ago?'

I think it's absolutely fantastic and is making the show better in terms of characters than it has been in a long long time. Long may it continue!

Yes it it is a good idea, I think the whole thing should be based on building up the characters and you can really feel for them when it is there game. Putting people on before viewers can hardly remember there name will always be a sore point with me!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I like it. But they do seem to be focusing on Lynne a lot. I'm not too bothered about that though, she seems cool.

I love the contestant banter to bits!! This time last month there were some great characters on the wings but we simply did not know anything about them. It'd be all "Roger, open the box" and if they wanted to say anything then they'd be drowned out by blue chants. Then in their game they'd turn out to be great and I'd think "Why were they never this good on the wings?"

I'm agreed with Jeannie, it's great when they build them up, and this is a colossal improvement. It takes me back to the glory days of times like January, or last March. There's a whole bunch of contestants who I'm looking forward to their games now, and unlike last month they're actually having good ones too!

It's fantastic idea, and you can see the DoND logo zoom out before the board appears.

Anyway, despite being Mr. No Gimmicks, I think the new intro is an excellent idea! I have to say that I never used to really pay much attention to Noel's intro as he used to say the same stuff pretty much every day, depending on how the previous day's game went.

Now, at least we are getting to know the people on the wings.

When did this new intro start? Having been away, I'm unsure whether or not he did it whilst I was away... although the first I saw of it was... Sunday, was it?

It doesn't detract from the game itself, so this is a welcome gimmick / extra to DOND!

It was in Theresa's game it started, so last Sunday. We're starting to get more and more outgoing and interesting characters, so maybe that's the reason.

It started after John's game, and Noel called her Dragon Den. He said like, here's the characters over here...like my mate Phil and the killer Anne-Marie...and here is Dragon Den.

At the moment I'm really enjoying the show and the current line-up is awesome! I know I say that about everything but I mean it, they really are an awesome bunch of contestants! I dare to say it in case I jinx it, but this month is shaping up to be a brilliant month (and there's only been two shows so far!)

I love the new feature at the beginning of the show, we're are now getting to know the contestants a bit more than we did about a month ago! Just think already we know that Den is a bra fitter, Kirsty works with doughnuts (well not with them as in her colleagues but you know what I mean!) and Lynn’s a Market Researcher, and they haven’t even played their games yet! I'm loving all the banter between the contestants and that's what made me fall in love with the show in the first place!

I was so disappointed yesterday when Noel just did the normal "22 identical sealed boxes, 22 amounts on the gameboard" crap and didn't talk to anyone...I hope that was just a one-off.

It would've been more beneficial if Noel had started this new intro about a month ago, as we knew nothing about the players then and it would have have helped get to know them... I think the current lot would manage on their own to be honest! But I hope Noel keeps it up and yesterday's lapse was a one-off... no doubt there will be a time again when the current 22 aren't so good and we'll need Noel's new intro technique to get to know them a bit better!

Well surely the reason you think they'd manage on their own is that you know more about them because Noel talks to them more! Last month's players were quite good when they got to the chair IMO, it's just that they never really said anything while on the wings.

It could be down to editing in other parts of the show or whatever, but the current lot seem to just do more stuff on their own without being prompted by Noel... they just seem a "better" lot than this time a month ago, even if you take away Noel's new intro.
