With number 400 coming up tomorrow, thought it was time for a recap of the memorable shows that such numerical milestones have produced in the past.

Show 50 (28/12/05): I think this was actually the first one I ever saw - can't remember if Noel made anything of it being the 50th show. But Michael C came to the table and beat the Banker, taking his peak offer of £18,000 before revealing £750 in his box.

Show 100 (25/2/06): Anna made it a show to remember as she took home £43,000 by dealing at the five-box stage. Unfortunately she played on to reveal the £250,000 in her box.

Show 150 (25/4/06): Noel mentioned this milestone would be a good time for the first quarter millionaire. Unluckily for Dave E, it produced the opposite outcome as he became the fourth member of the 1p club. With a peak offer of just £10,150 his game never really got going.

Show 200 (16/6/06): Ron brought his rocks to the table and took home a different kind of rock, collecting £20,000 by no-dealing to the end in a rollercoaster game, to beat the Banker outright in this Double Deal Week show.

Show 250 (14/9/06): This show brought Nev to the table and he took the Banker for £41,000. But as the game developed it proved to be a couple of deals too soon - and the proveout it turned out that the box he would have swapped for contained the £250,000.

Show 300 (10/11/06): "Headlock" Helen caused much discussion with her initial refusal to leave her position to come up and play. But she timed it perfectly in her game, dealing for £21,000 and turning out to have just 50p in her box.

Show 350 (5/1/07): Didn't actually see this one and it appears most notable as the last game before the big one was won! Conor still technically beat the Banker with £10,000 for his £100 box, though he could have had £17,500 earlier.

Show 400 (5/3/07): Rose came to the table and despite a mixed start got to a third offer of £17,400 which she declined - unfortunately, the game collapsed immediately after that and she ended up with just £750. To which the Banker added £400 for her to buy the drinks with!

Show 450 (2/5/07): Can't remember if Noel made anything of the milestone, but this was Leila's game and she took £11,000 at the fourth offer. The deal didn't quite work out as she went on to reveal £50,000 in her box.

Show 500 (29/6/07): Annie was the contestant randomly selected to play in this £500,000 board special, with an audience full of past contestants. Her game started badly as the half million went straight away, and seemed set for a trainwreck before she beat the Banker by accepting a fifth offer of £10,000.

Show 550 (25/9/07): This was certainly an unforgettable one! Maria came to the table and had a game which seemed to be falling apart - but then she somehow turned it round and after turning down £40,550 she then swapped £15,000 for £100,000!

Show 600 (22/11/07): Coming soon!

It completely passed me by that Conor's game was a milestone show! :)

Well I suppose 350 isn't much of a milestone really, and they probably won't make much of the 50's from now on. I expect they will do something big for number 500 though - due shortly before the summer break this year?

Yes, I calculated that show 500 will be shown in early July approximately - there were rumours that show 500 would be a big thing and it would be part of a second Double Deal Week.

I can't believe Headlock Helen played 100 shows ago. I really liked her, but it doesn't seem like she's been gone for that long!

I wonder how many times Noel will mention that its Show 400 today. He did point it out in yesterday's game! :D

It will be very interesting to see how big a deal they make out of the 400th show, bearing in mind they didn't really make much of a big thing of it for the 300th show (except a few references to it and increased values for the viewer's competition - I don't think they had a rollover like they've got this week, did they?).

I seem to remember on the 250th show at the beginning, Noel said "...and no questions except one... do you realise this is the 250th episode of... Deal or No Deal?".

I'm not sure what they'll do for the 500th show, but I imagine it'll be something special... maybe gold boxes and tuxedos (similar to the anniversary special and the New Year's Eve episode)... and maybe this 500th show could be the £500k special at the end of another Double Deal Week?

We should run some kind of forum sweepstake as to what episode will be DonD's last, and the closest person to it can have some kind of prize as donated by Kestral, a signed Noel pic probably! ;)

Who here really thinks it will reach the big 1000 ? After all, it has to end sometime, probably if and when Noel quits and they can't find a suitable replacement.

I think it will be over long before they reach four figures (I know they are already commisoned till about 635 in theory), so about 750 shows is my guess! :-) Any other offers and theories?

I should imagine show 500 will be going before the cameras very VERY soon if it hasn't done so already.

H will probably enlighten me on this one. Where are they at the moment exactly with dond? :?

Is there any concrete information on it yet? It'll be airing sometime around June/July won't it? I haven't got my calculator to hand at the moment! ;)

EDIT: I've just spotted the answer from H a couple of replies upwards!

They are currently filming the early June episodes, and by my calculations, the 500th show is due to be Tuesday 3rd July (that's assuming there's no double deal week and there are no extra episodes slotted in anywhere or episodes taken out, etc.) - which means the 500th show could well be filmed later this month.

The full filming dates table is here - http://www.dond.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... highlight=

I did hear a rumour that the 500th show could be the end to a double deal week - maybe the episodes could be altered to make the 500th show fall on a Sunday, then they have a double deal week just before it, and finish on the Sunday with the 500th show and a £500k top prize for it?! Whatever happens, it'll definitely be at the end of June or at the beginning of July.

Thanks H.

Please Endemol, no more Double Deal weeks. You'll kill off the show for good! :smt103 This is so NOT a good idea. It came close to overkill last year. If it happens again early this summer I'll probably give up on the show for good! :!:

I'm not sure I like the sound of this. It depends on what they have planned I suppose, it can either go really well and work or it can be a total disaster and ruin the show completely. I hope it's the former!

well, knowing noel's the presenter, theres bound to be someone get injured on there and the show axed at some point in its life, as was seen in Noel's house party. Also Blobby didnt last long, no-one around the area liked the blobby park thingy, and that sickly mr blobby song just reminds me of my relationship with my ex.

So DOND hasnt got too long to go before it awaits the same kind of fate, but lets hope i am totally wrong there and it lasts at least 10 years without anyone even getting a £10k offer after taking out £20k and £75k :-D

As there's another one approaching next week I've managed to dig out this thread from earlier in the year and updated it.

We've seen everything from a 1p win to a £100,000 win in the "milestone" shows so far, so what will show 600 bring?

I remember being disappointed that not a thing was made of show 450, not even a "This is the 450th show!" from Noel, so it was good to see 550 get a bit of significance.

Insanely, the 600th show would have been recorded before the 500th was broadcast! Hopefully we'll get a win of £60k or so, no one's won anything in that margin except Break-a-leg Jeff, otherwise it jumps from £57,000 to £70,000!
