I've noticed that there is a style of box opening that only very few contestants do. When they open the lid, they lift the box of the table at an angle. I've also noticed that most of the contestants who have opened their boxes in this way have turned out to be big winners, some include:

Claudine: £107 031
Kerry: £35 000
Karen: £17 000
Patrick : £50 000
Alasdair: £23,500
Kelly: £12 500
Ashley: £19,990
Lisa: £24 000
Gus: £42,047.48
Doug: £75 000
Jackie: £16 500

Average win of the above contestants (who all opened their boxes in this way) is £38 415.32

That's all the ones can think of, and its probably just luck that the only ones I can think of were the big winners, can anyone think of any more?

Anyway, if that is the case, and if that trend continues, Jackie should be a big winner, she definitely has that box opening style. Just a crazy theory... :-D

Alasdair used to bring the box forward slightly.

Adrian and Pat M also brought the box upwards a few times.

Sharron might have done it too. She just used to move hr boxes all over the place.

Oh yes, and Kelly did it as well, and she was a sorta big winner, well certainly not a small winner anyway...interesting.

Depends if you class a weekend break with Noel as a "big win" or not

Ashely and Hannah also did this, but weren't particuarly big winners.

What about players who ruin their first box opening?

Howard - £1
Sarah M [1] - £6,000
Betty - £20,000
Doug - £75,000

No relationship there then.

Ashely definitely did, but I scrolled through a lot of Hannah's box openings and never once saw her lifting the box of the table. I still think it is quite big wins; the average amount won by the 7 players at the top of the post is £37 860.

I think she did it once...and that was what I was thinking of. Also she always did it really quickly, so that was good.
