Watching some old games, I've noticed that a lot of the time contestants don't know the names of other contestants. Apart from the whole Rita/Kat and Jackie/Vikki thing at the moment, Doug called Philomena "Phamilla" and Sarah M called Sheran "Shareen". You'd think spending so much time with those people that you'd know their names...

Meh, some people just forget everyone's names regardless of how much time they spend with them. My mum calls me "Lisa" (the name of her sister) half the time...

June Called Nessie "This lovely new girl" but that might be because of her age?

My mum calls me Christopher a lot. She calls Christopher Emma!

Anyway, Patrick also named Kelsie Kylie.

That was Jean. I remember Mark from May calling Jainie "the lovely Janine" as well. And Pat M called Sandy "Stacey".

i personally go through periods of knowing all contestants names, then, like the minute, only knowing a small handful....I guess it just depends on my interest in the show, or my (often wrong) perception of how interesting i think folk might be when they play-I have been very wrong!.......but i still like to think i might be able to manage the names if I'd been spending time with them....

Bear in mind, every other day a new group of 6 arrive. Each day, 3 go home and 3 join the wings. It all goes by so quickly, it can be a little bit difficult to remember peoples names all of the time!! If in doubt, just ask for the box number!!

I know that feeling basic, and I often go through the kids and grandkids names in order before I get the right one!!! Mind you, I put that down to age.

When you are in a close group of 21 other people, even after a few days, its hard to remember everyone's names- happens to me all the time with the drama workshops I do...I don't have a bad memory by the way.

I'm terrible with names too. I frequently go through all the names of my friends until I get the right one! I can't imagine what I'd be like on DOND, since I'd have to learn the names of 21 strangers and if they're filming 3 shows a day, 3 new people every day.

Small, Scottish Karen called Ian "The new chappy on the end"

Christine said "Sorry I can't remember her name" about Rita on her second show.

Helen Hawkley said something like "Only just arrived: that guy on the end" about Shahid.

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.
