The best guess anyone at Bother's Bar has managed is that it's the producer Glenn Hugill.

Recent auditionees have apparently been told there are several different Bankers, but this may be a trick. It being Endemol, masters of trickery for good and evil, it's hard to tell.

As KP says, quite a lot of people think it's the producer at the end of phone.

The other question is how he comes up with the figures?

As far as we're aware, the Banker is given an upper and lower bound on the offers based on the sums of money left on the board, and can set the offer anywhere in that range. He implied as much in Lyndsey's game, adding that he'd set an offer near the lower bound (which she took).
