I think the banker offers are way to high in general and should be lower to force players to have a real decision. He seems to make it easy for them most of the time. It would make the show more interesting.

well done you have COMMON SENSE!!!!

i totally 200% agree. Go back to offering less than £8k most of the time as openers, not bloody £20k!!

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

I think when it gets down to eight boxes and five his offers are too high. The shows that are most exciting is the ones where the contestants go on. The banker makes the offers to high and most dont go on. It would make the show more watchable.

maybe the sheer fact that contestants never realise, Oh, there could be a quarter of a MILLION pounds in here, and hes offering me half of 10% of that!
and obviously just deal.

When you just see the dealing side of the story, not the simple fact that it IS a gambling game show, i would class you as a coward. Steven falls into that category. Gus, for what he said at the £42k offer, falls into that category.

People like fadil however. Yes they do, or Fadil does[as an example] fall into the reckless gambler category - but he especially goes into the give it your one and only shot cat., and that is what a lot of people who dealt, guess what, really should have done.

Totally agree with everything here. If people deal the silly high offer, they are classed as cowards (Even though some do go way to early like Steven today) but they're not cowards because it's a no brainer of a deal. I for one would like to see a more sensible banker, maybe not as nasty as the november 05 one, but yeah.

I don't agree because the offers should present contestants with a genuine dilemma as I think someone said in an earlier thread. Having a variety of cautious players and gamblers, dealers and no dealers makes the show interesting and unpredictable. Just forcing people on to the end makes the show pure luck, at least at the moment you could make an intelligent decision based on the board, the offer, and the odds, albeit that there is a lot of luck involved.

I think the show is more interesting when the offer is higher, especially in the latter stages of the game. This shows the contestant's bravery/greed/courage and makes the show far more entertaining and realistic.

I see no point in the banker ringing up with a ridiculous offer, when we know they are being forced to go on.. It becomes too predictable!

Or 5% in other words....

I agree the recent offers have been way too high... Sometimes it makes for a better game though.. Contestants get money fever and think they can do better and end up *beep*ing the whole game up, but at least they have to really consider the offer. Too many contestants dismiss 'bad' offers straight away.
