How awesome! Would be too spooky if another £250k win was filmed today...I was thinking this morning that it's a good job it was the last show of the day to be filmed (the party would be swinging by now, I bet!), had they done another one everyone would have been exhausted!

Happy One Year Since Laura Filmed Day...I'll remember the year anniversary of your day because it's my Mum's birthday!

Would be great if they filmed the second one today! I remember this time last year, we were all getting annoyed about the £250k winner "spoilers" that turned out to be Wakey messing about, and almost immediately afterwards the news broke that it had really happened.

Recently we've had a similar run of rumours that turned out to be rubbish, for those who read the spoilers section - maybe the same will happen again!

I am beginning to doubt it will ever happen again because quite honestly and I am going to say this I do not think anyone has the BALLS to even try and win it now.

Laura was a unlikely one I do not think she actually planned to win 250K the game just went right and the banker made it straight forward for her at the end, the final offer still makes me laugh... one of the easiest No deals I have ever seen.

But what I mean is as in her ambition where as some contestants they adamently say they want it and thats their game and it either fails or they blow it by dealing. People really wanted to be the first one IE Morris. I do not think Laura was bothered about being the first winner during the game really that was not her priority.

Now its happened and been won No one seems bothered now they just come with targets or as soon as it gets over 20 to 25k they are off no hesitation regardless of the board, Mary was the only exception to this recently and Nicky today tried.

But overall I just do not see it happening again for a long long long time untill someone realy comes on with some balls like Mary and is determined to try for it and then we have to hope the boxes fall right for them to.

Might never happen again but surely out of this nation of 28 million someone has the nerve and lady luck is shining.

I'd try if I got on the show but with a Back log of 80,000 lol SLIM chance.

It's not that we don't have the players' that are prepared to gamble and win the £250,000, it's just that they haven't married the right boxes for it to be won again.

Chris S had a good board and low/average offers and possibly Mikey as well. They weren't quite up to it though.
It's difficult to create a Qmaire. you need a gambler with the Qm or banker stupidity with an average/cautious player e.g. Laura.

Claudine/Germaine came close as well but reasonably couldn't gamble with their final pairs/offers as well.

and it depends what you mean by 'try'. Do Rob and brunhilde count where it was knocked out after 8 box or just 5 box?

It all depends on whether you're able to keep the big one in play til the end, and if you don't have it, whether you've still brought a decent sum of money you'd be happy to take home as a consolation.

Three people so far. Morris was there for the moment, he knew he wanted to be the first and to be honest if he was, he would have deserved it.

Kirsty was in a win-win situation; it was just bad luck it was the smaller of the two amounts she went home with. Again if she won it, her game was Hall of Fame material as it was, so it would have been a fitting end to a cracking game!!!

Laura was just faced with either losing to the Banker in spectacular style, or really making him eat humble pie. The proof for this was most of the wings said they would have gone to the end as well, even those who were far more cautious in their own games!

I'd strongly disagree with that: half the wings said Deal, and that lot went on to be amongst the most Wakeyistic in the show's history.

When some of them said deal I thought OMG YOU CHEAPSKATES lol How could anyone contemplate dealing that?lol.

Ironically they grabbed the moments for themselves and went to the end well most of them - maybe they were told to say deal to make the offer seem credible lol.

Laura kept a serious face which was cute but funny at the same time since I think alot of people including myself if we were in her game at that point and were only offered 45K we would not belive what we were hearing and say seriously? and then ask for the Q.

Just watched the bit with the sweep - I just could have sworn more people said No Deal than those that actually did - must be hindsight after it all happening, etc.

I think Craig one of Kp's fave's said deal. It was about 10/11 -half.

KP is a bit over cynical about January overall it had good games barring Laura's.

with a non blue run between Jasmine and Peg as well. February was a lot more sinister.
