As we all know, all good things come to an end someday. As much as I love the show, and would always love to keep watching, I still wonder how the show would end. How would they go about having no new players, but still having people to open boxes? What would the last show be like? And what is there still left to acheive before the shows ends? Any thoughts?
(p.s. apologies for any of those who suffered any heart problems when reading the start of this post ;) )

I think they should let all the contestants play their games, but get audience members to open the other boxes.

I dont think there will be an end to the game i.e. Noel saying "this is our last ever show so the LTL is £1,000,000 enter now", it'll just be cut by C4 at the end of a week everyone well have played there games and just not shown. The people left at the end of filming when it happens well probably be told to go home and not come back :?

when they get down to 11 people they might have each person opening 2 boxes. or they could get crew to do it. it wouldnt be the same without 21 other people.

Why couldn't they just get the contestants who have played their games to stay and open the boxes? It'd be weird for the player having people on the wings who they don't know... a large part of the show is the bond the player in the crazy chair has between the contestants.

Maybe they could have a special last episode where every player left on the wings wins the same amount as the person in the chair.

Just think, right at the last hurdle we could have twenty-two new members of the 50p club! :-D

I brought this up whilst I was there and was told that the way that they might do it is to get staff and crew to be contestants until all the real contestants have played their games! Jayne x

I think that they will definately have to reveal the Banker on the last show, even if it is the usual suspect. ;) And have a massive video celebrating the whole thing at the end. If they did however do that whenever the last show may be, it'd probably take up half the show itself...

Haha, no, the banker should always remain a mystery! I'd imagine the last show would be an hour long special, with an hour long follow-up documentary or something.

If at the very end they were to reveal the banker, I think they'd do something similar to what they did at Christmas and show his "office" and then the back of his chair and the phone and then he'd turn his chair round and we'd see his face. However I think this person would be an actor as I suspect that there's more than one person who does banker duty.

Again I had this discussion and I was told that they will NEVER reveal who the banker is. We as contestants had our suspicions but we will keep tight lipped about it. Its best to keep a mystery anyway! Jayne (ex east wing contestant) xxxxx

Maybe if it runs for 40 years or so like Top of the Pops did! Most TV shows simply fade away unnoticed except by the most hardcore of fans, in fact I can't remember off the top of my head any game show that has had major publicity for its last episode.

I think the banker's will just un-connected the phone and turn the studios light off with his hand and there will possibly be a clue to who the banker is

I'm sure there is a team of people who come up with the Banker's offers and develop his "character" through the lines written for him to say to Noel on the phone. There's probably just one person who actually "voices" the Banker but finding out who that was probably wouldn't really be that interesting, chances are it's just an actor who can put on the right kind of voice!

As far as the contestants go, I always thought that when they stop having new players, instead of getting crew members etc. to open boxes, they should invite back old players to do it i.e. hall of fame members, but who knows. :?
