Is it right for Noel to call contestants cowards or making the Chicken noise. its beginning to annoy me. if people want to take the money then fair enough. he does this to influence people to go on.
An example is georginas game with the £45,000 offer

I know what I am and don't care what Noel thinks of me, should I ever get on the show! :-D

That doesn't make it right though. It does annoy me when Noel criticises the early dealers - he's supposed to be impartial. Like when they ask the audience and only one or two stand up and Noel says it is the Student Loan Society or British Cowardice Society that are stood up.

Noel often says that it is brave for a contestant to go on. I think it is the opposite. It is a brave contestant who flies against general opinion and deals. There is nothing wrong with being sensible and knowing the meaning of money.

From a viewers point of view, we'd all like people on the show to "do a Wakey" and go all the way to the end regardless, because that is obviously the more entertaining route, which is a large part of what the show is about. That doesn't mean that they don't need the money and shouldn't be called a chicken when the banker offers them a sum of money that is near or above the mean - no matter how early in the game.

I'm sure someone somewhere will do a first or second round deal somewhere soon, and I'd just love their decision to be proved absolutely correct. There is no shame in dealing early.

I'd have walked at the 2nd offer today! :)

I think we should get a group of people from the forum to go and sit in the audience dressed in chicken costumes...

Noel should not do it and he should realise that the show is about making decisions, and one of those decisions is dealing! He should also remain neutral as he is supposed to be, and weigh up the pros and cons of dealing and no dealing, and definitely not imply people are chickens for dealing! It's the opposite - they're brave to go against what everyone thinks / hopes / expects them to do!

What a great idea!

Step 1: Cluck and produce eggs at regular intervals.

Step 2: When the player deals at the 3rd offer, get up and walk around the pound table making chicken noises.

Step 3: Sit back down again and pretend like nothng happened.

Step 4: If Noel comes up to you, deny you are a chicken.

Step 5: Spend the rest of the show, moaning to the person next to you about the lack of chicken seed bars they give out during breaks.

They often refer to the studio as "the shed"... maybe it should be "the chicken shed"?

I'd have thought about dealing at the first offer today. Noel's really beginning to annoy me now. I was delighted that Rachel dealt at the right time and proved him wrong on Sunday. Sometimes Noel makes the audience say sorry to the player if their advice has turned out to be wrong. Well, if I was Rachel, I'd have made him say sorry.

You can be a "chicken" and win a decent sum of money or
be courageous and win loads or peanuts. So if you win £15,000
by dealing at the 4th offer, the highest offer of the game,
and find that 10p is in your box does that make you a
chicken by dealing early?

Noel shouldn't be allowed to influence the player in such a way that they actually feel bad dealing. We should also remember that Edmonds is a Multi-millionaire so he doesn't know what the real world of money is about.

It's practically his show.. He can do what he wants at the moment

If that is the case it's a shame they don't edit out some of the negative comments too... Noel isn't all that bad. He does speak those wise words of his at times. Opinions have certainly changed over the weeks though!

I don't know if any of you remember Don's game - he left with £100.

Anyway we were all asked if we would deal (I think it was for about £10k) or no deal. I was the only one who said No Deal and Noel made the chicken noises - turned out I was right

It was really quite annoying cause I was made to feel like a right wally at the time - I was just expressing an opinion (which was asked for) and I don't think he should do that. After all Don could have been a rich chicken rather than a poor.......well whatever is the opposite of chicken.

Pam

£10,050, yes - I'd personally have taken the third £8,050 there, in fact considered it a borderline no-brainer (as was the £10,050).

But that was the first post-Laura filming day wasn't it? No wonder the other 21 turned into idiots unable to grasp the value of money.

I'm hoping you added an extra word in here by mistake. :-D I've never known Noel to make chicken noises at people who say "No Deal" :?

Hehe, yes, Pam obviously meant to put "Deal". It'd certainly be an interesting twist if Noel made chicken noises at people who no dealt!
